Six of the seven dowels were OK. One was mostly sap wood, a different color which made it unusable for this project. Based on the price I paid I expected all of the dowels to be at least close in color. Not worth sending back so I will keep it and use it where any cheap dowel will do. To be fair I did receive them fast and in good condition.
