Evidently this is the current production item by whomever bought the Cherry brand. This switch looks, feels, and sounds of much poorer quality than the original part. Additionally, although I realized I was buying the metal plunger part and not the plastic plunger version that I was replacing, I did not expect the plunger to be significantly longer. Made in Mexico instead of Illinois.I suggest you look for alternative bands that will fit your application. At a total cost of $20 with shipping thi one is no bargain.

This switch was used in a piece of medical equipment. The manufacturer of that piece of equipment wanted about four times the price for it that I was able to buy it from Amazon for. Same product at at 75% off...SWEET!
