This canvas feels like good quality and is comparable to my pre-stretched canvas. Keep in mind, it is raw and unprimed, unlike my stretched canvas, which has been triple-primed with gesso. It offers a nice texture and feels durable. I haven’t used it yet in my artistic work, but I’m looking forward to giving it a try.

My roommate is so prolific we can barely keep her in materials! This isn't the worst of stock, certainly worth the 2$ per foot. Any material that's been rolled has a hard time releasing the curl, that is the main 'gripe' if I have to make one - not that we don't know how to deal with the curl. It is a thinner stock, not really what one wants if the plan is to staple it over a stretcher, this will work well as a 'scroll' type of setup, however. I'm reminded of a wallpaper type of material, feeling this; anything novel for material is usually fun, or at least interesting in learning how well it performs, etc.

chenchuangcf Canvas Rolls for Painting - Heavy Duty, Extra Large Canvas Paper for Acrylic Paint Painting - Raw, Long Rolls for Artists - Art Supplies 41.7inX393in (26.3in X 193in)First impressions: Nice large canvas roll, the roll doesn’t have a cardboard tube inside. It doesn’t need it really, less waste. The canvas is thick and untreated, it’s ready to prepare for use.Installation/setup: Use as you wish, attach to a wooden panel, cut into strips and apply to other canvas, mount on stretching bars to make a traditional painting surface and add gesso to the surface. Really anything you want, it’s yours.Final thoughts: To treat a canvas before painting, you need to "prime" it by applying a layer of gesso, which is a coating that creates a smooth surface for paint to adhere to, typically using a brush to apply multiple thin coats and allowing each layer to dry completely between applications; this process is crucial for both oil and acrylic paints, ensuring even color distribution and preventing the canvas from absorbing too much paint. Key steps for treating a canvas before painting: Clean the canvas: Wipe off any dust or debris from the canvas surface with a damp cloth before applying gesso. Apply gesso: Use a wide, flat brush to apply a thin, even layer of gesso to the entire canvas. For a smoother finish, you can lightly sand the canvas with fine-grit sandpaper between coats of gesso. Apply multiple coats of gesso, allowing each layer to dry completely before adding the next. Important considerations: Canvas type: Some canvases may already come pre-primed, so check the label before applying additional gesso. This canvas is labeled as raw so it’s not been applied. Gesso type: Choose a gesso specifically designed for your paint medium (acrylic or oil). Texture: Depending on the desired effect, you can add texture to your gesso by mixing in different materials like sand or gel medium. You can also use color in your gesso to give your canvas an underpaint color to start with. I like this and I’m glad I got it.⭐️1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend.

This is a nice roll of heavy canvas. The surface is prepped for painting. The surface is smooth and hold paint very nicely. The 19: with is easy to stretch on frames up to 18" wide. I have found so many ways to practice techniques with this bulk roll.

Suitable for oils, acrylics, and watercolor ( with proper surface modification and multimedia application. This canvas improves with the application of additional gesso to smooth out the surface.I think I will try mounting some to a board, this should make it much stronger. It can also be stapled to conventional stretcher bars.I'm having fun trying all my different media on this affordable canvas.
