I got these for homeschooling. The quality of the paper is good with average thickness.

These cards are perfect for notes that you want to keep for a long while. We're using them to keep track of books my kids read - a perfect use for these cards. The thick ruled lines are ideal for younger ages who are still learning to write and the heavy paperweight is needed for cards that will be handled lots by little hands. Whatever use you may have, you won't be disappointed by these cards.

These are advertised as "heavier" paper weight and that is patently not true. Heavier than what? Tissue paper? I have "real" index cards similar to those made throughout time when it was super heavy card stock. They are stiff and these are not. My stiff ones I can put my thumb on the front of the card and next two fingers behind the card and can barely flex the card. With these index cards it collapses quickly with the finger test. Therefore, every time you go to use these there will be "play" to them.If that doesn't bother you, then these are otherwise just fine. True white with the classic red line at the top and blue lines underneath. I prefer this 3x5 for To-Do lists. Since that's my use the less paper weight is fine. But if these were for homemade, on repeat, flashcard use, I wouldn't like them.

These are very nice index cards. In my experience, the quality of index cards--as with so many other things--gets shabbier and shabbier, so it was a nice experience to open these and have them be good heavy cards, well made and exactly as described. With that said, they are still far more expensive (currently $4.50USD/100 cards) than I would normally pay for index cards, which generally get written on and then soon after thrown away. Because school requires them, we go through thousands of index cards a year and paying for these at that rate is not justifiable.

These index cards are not any thicker than any other brand I have bought. You'd probably have to tape two of them together to get a truly sturdy index card. My search continues.
