This is a relatively plain-looking light weight knit sweater. It is not heavy and perfect for a cool day, or just after a hair cut or to warm up after being out in the damp or rain. It has a cute ruffle along the bottom.

Sizing: while lengthwise a medium should have worked, my dog definitely needed a large minimally for it to fit. My dog's weight is about 21 lb s There's no way it would fit on him, so the sizing chart needs a weight component. It was my mistake to go with the reviews that said do not go a size up because he is not slender. A medium is normally what I purchase for him. He's a long-bodied, mixed breed, chihuahua-dachshund-beagle, and more mix, lol.Quality: it's on the thin sife and about what you would expect to find in a Dollar General or Family Dollar store. The quality is just okay and would have sufficed for a fall, chilly day but not winter.Material: soft, thin, but maybe would not stand the test of time(?)

This is a very thin sweater, but it's enough to keep my 8-lb, recently shaved Havanese warm on chilly Spring days. It's suitable to wear inside for long periods, but it wouldn't be enough for her to take a walk outside below 50 degrees. It's not great material, but she looks cute in it by virtue of her own good looks, not because it's a great sweater.Update:I really have come to rely on this sweater because my dog doesn't object to wearing it and she has hated every other sweater or coat I've tried to bundle her up in.The weather has just started getting colder again, and it's hard to stay warm in the mornings, but it warms up to nearly 80 degrees during the day. I put my dog in this to sleep and take it off midday, and it's helped her keep her weight up, which is tricky during cold weather. She always comes out of Winter a little bony (but according to my vet, still a healthy weight), and she gets sick if I feed her more. I hadn't realized how much of her anxiety came from being cold (and therefore hungry since she's burning calories to stay warm), and she's a happier, healthier dog now that I have something comfortable for her to wear which she won't quickly overheat in.Again, it's not a very high-quality sweater, but everyone says she looks cute in it, and it's for a dog, so I couldn't possibly complain. It's stretchy enough to get her in it without hurting her, and it hasn't unraveled at all.
