Chasing makes underwater drone photography smaller and simpler with Dory, a compact remotely operated vehicle that transmits photos and video from as deep as 49' and is controlled by a smartphone or tablet. The Dory connects to a small floating Wi-Fi buoy with a 49' tether and streams live 720p video from beneath the surface, to your device and to social media if you like. It snaps 2MP photos and records 1920 x 1080 video at 30 fps, enhanced by a color-restore algorithm for dynamic imagery, and its wide f/1.6 lens captures the scenery and the action even in low-light environments. Two 250-lumen LED lights illuminate the scene, with color temperature of 4000k to 5000k.

I've only taken this out 4 or 5 times, but I'm very happy with it overall. The steering definitely takes some getting used to, but it's very maneuverable once you get the hang of it. The video quality is great, and the algorithms that keep the drone angled are excellent. You can angle the drone down to watch the bottom and then cruise around with nose-diving into the bottom. The only drawbacks I can see are that the threads to attach the cable are plastic, and pretty easy to cross-thread. You have to be really careful attaching the cable. I would also like to see a longer cable option.Overall is has a very quality and well thought out feel. This was one of the most budget underwater drones, but it doesn't look or perform like they cut any corners.

Really well featured small underwater drone for $$. Great for travel and quality of videos and stills. All you need can be put into the included backpack for a diving photo mission. I highly recommend a optional remote controller. I had problems controlling with virtual sticks. I added this drone to my growing collection of camera drones and have now covered air and water with this little wonder.
