Chartpack tape made from the crepe material can be laid down with a gentle curve, or straight. This feature makes it easy to make markings on a model to delineate a colored pinstripe, control surface marking or even as a very thin mask for subsequent airbrushing. I’m a fan.

We used this for an art installation, placed directly on top of a satin finish paint. I was surprised how well it worked. The only complaint I have is that a few feet of one of the rolls had no adhesive backing. Superglue application was tedious but it worked! Would use again.

This might be excellent for other uses, but not what I needed. I'm building a model of the USS Texas BB-35 and I wanted to use the tape for the waterline. It was too thin for one thing and the adhesive wasn't strong enough to make a good bond with the painted plastic. I'll need to resort to the old fashioned way of marking off the line with masking tape and painting the waterline with black paint. It was worth a try, though.
