I love this brand of vellum because it doesn't smudge like traditional tracing paper (therefore, I don't have to use a fixative). I do drawings for cemetery monuments and have to have the ability to trace things but I like the sturdiness of this vellum (instead of tracing paper) because it stands up to erasing when I have to edit drawings. Great product! I couldn't believe how quickly it arrived!

I used to use Engineering Vellum from my company when I worked and they quit doing ink drawings. The texture was perfect for fountain pens. I have to be careful because this seems to dry just a little slower but it allows me to trace alphabets for practice and use calligraphy fonts in Word to layout a project. Then I trace it for centering etc. Saves mistakes and layout time. I can also make corrections on the transparency, then I put it in my copier and print from the vellum to calligraphy parchment for a perfect finished product. Very reasonably priced.

I use this for drawing my fantasy snowflakes. It has an even surface that holds a clean line.

It is translucent Vellum pad in various sizes. Before my retirement I used Vellum pads in lg sizes to draw floor plans (and many other line drawings in black ink or pencil.) Now, I use vellum pads 8 1/2 x 11 to paint landscapes or still life. Instead of using pallete to mix acrylic colors, I use a cooky sheet covered with WET paper towel (2 layers) and vellum sheet on top. Secret: the Acrylic paint stays moist over 24 hrs on top of vellum, a huge savings of the acrylic paints!Otherwise if I were to use Pallete for mixing Acrylic paints, they would dry in 10 miniutes...

I bought this paper to use with colored pencils, markers and or technical pens. The paper is nice quality, while thin it's quite durable and stands up to being erased without tearing. It is semi opaque in nature.Excellent for fine art, mixed media where you want to prevent marker blur or bleeding as well as great for technical drawings.Definitely my go to vellum.

It's a little more opaque than I like in my vellum. I use it/my students use it for overlays, so sometimes it's difficult to see what is underneath the vellum. But it is a good price for the amount that you get.
