Grill will work as it should, but the pieces for the front shelf were smashed at both ends and missing paint when I took them out of the box. If you order this product as a gift make sure you have enough time to get replacement parts before the party.

The price, one sale, could not be beat. The grill is exactly what I was looking for. A large surface for larger quantities like ribs. Coupled with a side smoker box that gives a smaller surface. This is a great grill if you don't want to spend $$$$$$$$.

This is my second Char-griller and I wouldn't purchase any other brand. Grilling with charcoal is the best way to give your food the best flavor.

By far the best grill I have ever bought and cooked with at the best price, I would have given it 5 stars, however the packaging was horrendous the box was ripped all up and had I not been home when it was delivered I don't know how he would have been able to safely unload it with keeping any of the box on it, I can't express how concerned I was about all of the pieces actually being there but they were thank God, like my title the best grill with the worst packaging

Mine showed up on the porch for one late and the box was really beat up. To my surprise the grill had only a few dents and dings nothing a good hammer and pliers didn't fix. I am not a return it kind of person as longs as it is not destroyed. This thing is fairly heavy so I'm sure the shipping company loved that at nearly 100lbs, sort of an Ace Ventura treatment for sure. The grease trap was missing I'm sure it is in the back of a shipping van somewhere not manufactures fault. No bigs for me I don't use those anyway. It was fairly easy to assemble using 7/16 wrench and Philips screws driver for the hole process with descent instructions. It could use stronger or more cross members tying the legs together such as pipe like the legs. Instead they used thin flimsy stamped sheet metal so this leaves the whole assembly a bit on the wobbly side. I wouldn't be using this thing in any major cooking competition or back of restaurant grill all day use, but for at home 2 to 3 times a week for simple family meals and or friends & family gatherings it will work just fine. Temp control is a bit on the difficult side as it is hard to shut down with stack and air inlet controls. It doesn't seal well around the top & Bottom lid seam so once started this thing goes. I might experiment in the near future with wood stove door rope to seal the lid seam. Lowering and raising the coal trey plus coal placement on the trey, food placement on the grill and amount of coals used seems to the best way to control cooking heat. The cooking grills seem to be descent quality made out of cast. Overall bang for your buck it is a good deal, it should last a few years. It cooks food well once understanding it quarks for heat control. I purchased this grill do to reviews, it had better reviews than the other grills in same price range. It definitely is no big brand $800 grill I see at the local box store, I would agree with most reviews for price range it is a descent grill I would recommend it under the above uses.

It’s definitely a little time consuming to assemble this grill. Put aside a good 3 hours I’d say. Also the inside grates or shelves have to be “seasoned”. (You need to coat them with oil and bake in the oven for several hours)! There’s a couple things that are a little cheap. Such as you need to provide your own “catch grease” can to hang under the grill. (I think it should be provided with a sturdy one,maybe cast iron so it won’t rust). The top inside “shelf” has screws that hold it and to us they look like they might strip easily after some normal use,wear and tear. My husband thinks the food tastes better in this grill. He’s not sure if it’s just his imagination or if in fact the curved design of it does make a difference. But it’s a decent grill for the money. So prepare for time to get this grill going! Don’t think you can buy it and use it the same day. Unless you start super early in the morning!
