Exceptional value , If you try to get some of the items individually it would be 5 times the cost , the sand paper sharpener, the pencil extender , the erasers , sharpener . In addition the add ons you get a decent quality graphite pencil range AND charcoal pencils as well . I was a real newbie and bought this because of price but it took some time and learning to appreciate the value of this one, I have moved up in quality with some of the more expensive brands of pencils , is there a difference ? Sure , but certainly not that great , nor is it something that a newbie would notice . You receive a nice range of pencils and it's a great way to get used to the differences between an 8B and a 2H , As a beginner I simply thought , Oh, I get a lot of pencils yeah !!! There is a difference and if you thinking about pencil drawing or just want to do some doodling this is perfect for the price

I thought it came with a case for pencils and instructions. But it does not come with a case. The instructions would have helped alot due to my grands first set. It doesn't show what sand paper is for or how to use the different pencils n charcoal or the knife is for. As a beginner artist for sketching she really needs instructions. Other then that which is important the set is nice, package was nice. Was ok price wise. Wish it had a case instead of carrying around a box .
