Okay this is a great blanket for my minature donkey. We live in Minnesota and she does pretty good staying warm but when it gets around -20 she starts to get cold. I got this for the really cold nights. I got her a 52" but I probably could have gotten her a smaller size because it is a little big on her but I am able to make it work. This blanket is really good quality and the colors are so fun to look at. I would not say its very thick but it keeps the wind off her and helps with the really wet snow. So far I am really happy about this purchase.

Well, it's been wet and cold (in the teens) and finally felt our lil baby horse needed a blanket. I fell for the cute rainbow color. I measured our yearling at 58" middle of chest to tail and ordered that size. I would say the blankets run small. His butt hangs out the back a little (60 would have been a better size but wanted to put something on him immediately) and the belly straps are at their max adjustment. Definitely won't be getting more than a few months out of this before it's outgrown. But it seems well made. I would recommend and repurchase. No rips, tears, leaking or stitching torn out in the week or two it has been worn. Pasture mates haven't destroyed it either and I think he appreciates the extra warmth.

If only they would have put clips instead of buckles on the front of this it would have saved me so much time. No fun fumbling with buckles when my hands are cold and the pony is impatient! Otherwise it is a good, cute blanket.

I got this for my donkey, and it fit perfectly. The colors are so bright, and it is easy to put on. It seems warm enough, and it gave us all a chuckle.
