This review is for the Chalice Goblet Brass Gold Plated Medieval & Gothic Style Harry Potter-Themed Large Gothic Roman Renaissance Gifts Wedding Anniversary Novelty Ceremonial Drinkware Cup 230 ml Pack of 1.So I collect these and they make nice decor and fit right in for cosplay, renfaire... The chalice has a nice weight to it feeling hefty in the hand. I'm a woman and have small hands and ikt feels good to hold it. It's a nice color being brassy/goldish and nice pattern on it. It holds slightly less than 8 ounces.I notice now they don't show pics of the inside of it in the listing. It says it's safe to drink mfrom, but it's a silver color metal so not sure if it's stainless steel, aluminum or tin? It would be nice for this info to be in the listing for the lining. It says it's dishwasher safe though.Regular price $ 34.99 per the listing and there's a 10% off brand promo coupon right now. Even though I like it, I think the pricepoint is too high for the small size of it. So maybe watch for a sale/coupon, browse listings...As always I only do honest reviews and update if needed. I hope this helps you make the best choices how to spend your $.

The positive aspects: I really like the look and weight of this chalice. It has intricate detailing and a nice gold/brass colored finish. Weight wise it comes in at just over one pound. The inside of the chalice, where te drink would reside, appears to have a tinned finish. I did not find any mention of it in the description, but from the look of it and comparing to some other pieces I own, I believe it is a tin coating.The problems with thus chalice: Probably the biggest problem with this chalice is the fact that it is being advertised as a brass chalice when in fact it is not a 100% brass chalice. It may be made from a brass aloy mixture but it is definitely not solid brass.How can I tell. It is simple, brass is typically made from mixing copper with a small amount of nickel and or tin. None of these three metals are magnetic, therefore a magnet should not stick to the side of this "brass" chalice. We'll, unfortunately when I placed a rare earth magnet next to the side of the chalice, it stuck right onto the chalice and stayed in place! Definetly not a "brass" chalice!Somehow they have managed to get some form of steel or iron into their brass mixture.The other issue I have is how sloppy looking the finish is around the neck of the chalice. It shows a ring of brown as well as one spot that appears to be rust when observed under a magnifying glass.The plan was to use this chalice in our daughter's wedding, but I am not sure it is nice enough for a wedding. Honestly for the $35 asking price I would have expected much better quality.
