Had a stem on my tig regulator that has been tough to get on and off and has been kinda beat up. This is a perfect fit and the connection was so much better!! Only downside is that there is no filter on the inlet so if that's important you may want to look at a different CGA-580- fit and finish were awesome and no leaks! Big win

I will start by saying that this CGA-580 fitting does work and and is leak free. That being said, on the 1/4 NPT end, I had to use a few extra wraps of thread seal tape and tighten up the the fitting more than I normally would, but that isn't unexpected on these inexpensive, imported fittings. The tank end worked fine and mated up to my argon tank. The threads on both ends are fairly rough but cleaned up nicely with a quick pass on my wire wheel. After wire wheeling the threads, the assembly went together much smoother and I was able to use less thread seal tape to get it to seal up, and the tank end went in much smoother. Will it work, yes, but I will probably stick with getting the fittings my local welding supply, as the price is about the same, and they have a nicer finish.
