Brush hog gearbox threads were messed up. Die cleaned up and fixed them, and now the stump jumper nut goes on easily and I can get the kicking pin in.

I used it to repair some damaged threads on a Crown powerjack and it worked perfectly. Saved having to buy a new pullrod which would have run at least a few hundred dollars. Note that this die is only for repairing threads not for cutting new ones.

Worked perfectly. Just as advertised it repaired the threads on my steering wheel shaft. Cheap repair that would have cost hundreds if I had to buy and replace the entire shaft. Bit into the narled up threads and renewed them to near new condition. High quality tool.

Had to rethread the first few threads on a transaxle shaft I was rebuilding couldn't find a thread cutting die this size locally so had this one at my door a couple days later. It effortlessly cleaned up the damaged threads.

Bought it for a single use - might build another so maybe I'll use it again. Did the job perfectly, so I've got no complaints - and the price was really good too.

This performed well on the pot metal application. I can’t comment on its efficacy on harder metals. Decent price and decent quality

Used this to repair the damaged threads on my steering column. Threaded it on, took it slow and done. Excellent product, would highly recommend!!

This is a die for repairing the threads on bolts or studs, not for cutting new threads. It works great if all you are doing is cleaning up a set of existing threads. It is not recommended for cutting entirely new threads.

Great value! And perfect size. I only used it once. It cleaned up the threads, and it was easier to then get a new nut on. The bolt has serious damage from arching, and the nut was sort of welded on in the process. The nut didn't come off easily, so I ordered this and cleaned up the threads by simply using this rethreader and a socket wrench. The new nut went on easily. The top of that bolt needs to be ground or replaced (not sure if that is possible on the top of a battery). For now, it works, and that is what is important. I need to remove that nut from time to time until I get a battery disconnect on it as part of this RV coach battery set-up. Since the leveling jacks don't seem to have a breaker (that I can find anyway), I was "shocked" to find out. Don't trust fuse box labels.
