I have never written a review and yet I read them consistently so my bad. After obsessing over the return policy knowing it probably wouldn’t work I admit I am impressed with this product. Like others have said this is the bomb for those of us who enjoy everything about rural living except the poor cell/internet coverage. (Okay, and maybe the lack of convenient, good restaurants.) I use a Verizon MiFi hotspot for internet and it can be aggravating. When it picks up a signal I have 2 bars and though a tad slow all works pretty well including streaming and zooming. My problem has been the repeated disconnecting from the cell tower. I could restart my hotspot and reconnect which is fine when I am here however when I am not and want to control my smart thermostats it is problematic. The hotspot was routinely “searching” and disconnecting so the money spent on smart thermostats seemed a waste. Now full disclosure, I have only done a temporary installation of the Hiboost but even the most rudimentary positioning of the antenna has given me 4-5 bars on the hotspot - never happened before. I have to assume this will alleviate my disconnect problem. This thing works and I probably didn’t need to buy the version that has the second indoor antenna but maybe I’ll finally be able to take a call in my kitchen. The installation instructions are a bit clunky but it’s fairly straightforward. I haven’t had to contact tech support so can’t comment on that. I do believe it’s going to worth every penny! P.S. They recommend using the Open Signal or other apps to locate your tower but please know that the info is crowd sourced so if you are like me and no one else is nearby using that app there is no crowd- ha! - and it won’t show up so don’t worry about finding it but obviously you do need some signal on your phone when outside. Just hook up the antenna and find the best signal using the recommended Signal Supervisor App.

I bought this a few years ago with the intention of taking my 4G LTE signal from 2 bars to 3+ in the house. Like many during the pandemic, I lived on my mobile for business while working from home and needed stable cell service. Things in my home were not terrible, and given other priorities, I waited to set it up.Enter 5G, and things went south with my Verizon service - so much so that I often was only seeing one bar of service, was dropping calls 4-5 times a week - and this despite living in Metro Atlanta and only 3 miles from a tower. The service has gotten that bad, and 3 hours with a level 2 tech at Verizon only got me the "well...there is a tower that's close, but there are a lot of trees in Atlanta.... ?#@&^$% - are you kidding? All while the rates keep going up. Further exploration led me to be told that the mobile companies are behind and haven't adjusted the signal priorities of the towers - which is leading to most consumers having poor signals and dropped calls. They just haven't gotten around to fixing it yet....that's a story for a different review....So I took out the box, read the manual (a few times actually - worth the investment of time) and went about setting this up. My roof is steep and high, so I opted for a retractable flagpole that I could put where I needed it (securing it to the side of the house) , adjust easily and do all of the without walking around on the roof. So far so good. Went to fire up the signal supervisor app on my phone (IPhone 13 pro) and had trouble getting it to work. Called in to customer service twice, waited on hold a little (not too long actually) and was asked to leave a vm. Figured I would never hear back from them. But - later that evening - yes around 8 pm - I got a call back from a rep who was helpful and responsive. Left direct extension and said to call her back. Refreshing, actually. So went to figure it out the next day, still couldn't get it to work. so I went to the chat support function on the signal supervisor app to get a HiBoost person (I usually get bots and hate this manner of help) but got a person named Liam on the line who was great. Helped me walk through a few IPhone settings which got things going (***NOTE - check the settings on the IPhone to make sure that location services and or bluetooth permissions let the app connect to the central HIBoost transmitter box - that was what was causing me issues - and also that you have to connect pretty quickly once you turn phone on find bluetooth devices - I think the HiBoost connection window is about 30 seconds). Once I had this going, things fell into place. Liam stayed with me the whole time, helped me dial things in, and I got it working, pointed correctly and saw immediate improvement once it was configured.Overall, it took me from 1-2 to 2-3 bars, so while not magic, it did meaningfully help. And most importantly, I have not had a call drop since I installed this. So - am happy to say that it does what it says it will do and I really appreciate the enhanced stability. Hopefully, Verizon and the other carriers will get their act together soon so that this isn't as necessary, but for the immediate future, this is here to stay at my house. I gave the easy to install ranking 3 stars; it required more effort that I had hoped and the manual could be clearer, but in the end, I was able to get it going. Further, the tech support gets high marks - four stars was due to never being able to get a live person on the phone when I was in the middle of installation, but the chat support agent (Liam) not only helped me get things going, but periodically checked in after installation via text a few times later that week to make sure things were working as they should and offering help. Who does that these days? It was great.......I wish they had a connection to third party installers - I would gladly pay to have someone set this up, install on the roof, etc, - that would make things a whole lot smoother. But - it is workable for normal people if you are patient and ask for help if you need it.So - if you are thinking about it, I say buy it and go slow to get it working and dialed in. It made a big difference in my signal strength. The attached photos represent the signal strength before the HiBoost and after......

This booster works GREAT!!! We have a house in a very remote mountain area with a nice environment but poor cell phone service. I have used other brands of cellular signal boosters before.Broke after only 2 months, with disappointing after-sales service and waste of money. I bought this signal booster because a neighbor recommended it. He said his booster was used over 3 years and working great, so I decided to buy one and try it out. Installation takes a little patience, but trust me, the process isn't difficult. I roughly read the manual and used their APP. Through video teaching and manual support, I used the APP to find the best position and orientation of the outdoor antenna. Then we go past eaves and windows. There is a jumper cable in the accessories, with which you don’t need to drill a hole. So the installation was completed smoothly. The signal is boosted immediately!! From the original one bars of signal to 4 or 5 bars!! It must be noted that! Please test whether there is a signal outside your home first, which will affect the use after installation. Also make sure you keep a distance between the two antennas vertically and horizontally and make them face opposite directions, which is to avoid loop back. So far this is a great product, which has given us an amazing signal boost!! Good value for money and I highly recommend it!!
