I had to replace the pull chain switch on our ceiling fan. This switch is smooth and works just as swell as the original pull chain switch that came with the Hunter Bay fan in our kitchen. Has held up well after six months of daily use with several pulls a day to adjust speed of the fan. Great deal and I have a spare just in case.

Overall I'm pretty happy with this. It was the same size as the broken switch in my ceiling fan and is working well as a replacement. If I had to make any complaints, it would be that 1. the pull cord on this one is a good bit shorter than the original, so I'd need to use an extension to get it to the same length, though its still long enough to use as is, and 2. no instructions were provided, so I just kind of had to figure out how to attach the wires to this. Also, the wire attachment appears to be a friction fit with a spring loaded terminal - I'd have greatly preferred a screw terminal for a more secure attachment but since there generally won't be any stress on this part pulling on the wires, its not a huge deal.

Arrived quick, has proper numbers/labels that match the broken switch, and an okay instruction sheet. 15 minute replacement.

Great Replacement & Inexpensive!! This part was almost identical to the original switch which made it super easy! The chain to my 3-speed ceiling fan had broken off inside the housing. so after researching my options, this part was exactly what was needed and made it basically quick, easy and inexpensive. I watched the videos as well as researched replacing fan switches on YouTube to make sure I understood the overall process and to pick up any tips and tricks. I turned the breaker off, followed the various recommendations.... taking photos of the existing broken switch while it was still wired into the fan housing, drawing a diagram of the old switch and writing down the wire colors and noting their locations in the broken switch and then basically mapped them to the new switch same locations to duplicate their exact placement. I wanted to have backup info in case I needed it. I disconnected one wire at a time and then connected it into the new switch in the identical location - one wire at a time. So one by one, moving each wire into the new switch. (To release the wires from the old switch, I used a very small flat head screwdriver and inserted into the old switch wire slots and pressed down and it released the wires. It took one or two tries in the beginning on the first wire to figure it out and release but then it was easy to remove the remaining wires.) Once the wire released from the old switch, I then inserted the wire into the new part until the wire clicked into place - you could feel when it clicked in and I checked each wire by pulling slightly to ensure it was held in place. Overall, It took maybe 10-20 minutes including the time to go out and turn the breaker off, remove the housing, replace the switch, test and replace the housing. So for just $6.99, delivered right to your front door and maybe 20 minutes - Well worth it! Thanks!!
