It came exactly as pictured, but it was a pain in the butt to assemble and will need to be weather protected with a sealant of some kind if you'd like to elongate the life of the wood. The metal screens were pre-stapled into the panels, which is nice if you don't own a staple gun, but I do own one and would have preferred to take care of it myself once it was assembled. I have small hands, but still had so much issue getting the screws in because my knuckles were being scrapped to pieces from the screens. I can't imagine someone with bigger hands doing this without injury. Maybe try work gloves if you've got them! Overall, the instructions are fairly easy to comprehend since each piece is labeled, but I found it a little hard to determine placement for the shelves and hammock based on the photos provided. I ended up putting them where I wanted them based on preferred layout and my cat's height. She loves it! All-in-all it was a great purchase.

Very easy to assemble with clear instructions. Took me about 1.5 hours by myself, use a drill on low speed it will save you a ton of time. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the quality is for the price!

The screws don’t go in all the way on some parts. Also, structure not even. Some parts not labeled. Disappointed. About to give up

I got the catio on time but I didn’t get instructions on how to put it together.

4.5/5 ratingOverall pretty easy to put together. Pieces are numbered which helps with assembly. We had a new pieces missing their numbers, but it was easy enough to figure out what they were. Instructions were easy to follow. Instructions said not to use power tools - we started out with a hand screw driver and that was hard to do. Switched to a power tool on low power and it went much smoother. I could not imagine building this entirely with hand tools. Took us about 2.5 hours with breaks to get this fully built. It is pretty sturdy - my cats explored it by jumping around on the shelves and it seems to hold well even with the heavier cats. We did not install the cat hammock.

Ah, yes, the ‘Catio’—a majestic human attempt to appease my feline desire for freedom while maintaining their irrational fear of me ‘getting lost’ or ‘eaten by a coyote.’ Let me share my thoughts:Pros: • Good Perch Game: The various platforms give me a decent vantage point to judge squirrels, birds, and the neighbor’s overly cheerful golden retriever. They think they’re safe. They’re not. • Safety First: I suppose it’s nice not to become lunch for a passing hawk. But let’s be honest, I could take a hawk. Probably. • Sunbeam Galore: It’s like a mobile spa for my naps. Bonus points for the breeze that wafts through my fur like a fan at a photo shoot.Cons: • Caged Tiger Vibes: It’s giving zoo exhibit. I’m a predator, Karen, not a goldfish. Let me hunt. • Human Assembly Required: I enjoyed watching my human struggle to put it together, but let’s face it—this thing was clearly designed to test their patience, not mine.Overall, the Catio is a decent compromise. I’ll allow my human to feel like a responsible pet owner while I daydream about my escape plans.
