This kit is definitely worth the money I had bought some pre made ones on amazon and i got 3 for 10.99 this is a much better deal and i can make them my self. I used a big game 40lb line i go fishing in the river and the catfish can be quite big and some like to put up a struggle. This rig setup works great and I catch quite a bit of catfish on the rig. Definitely recommend this product and will buy again when i need too.

This style of catfish rig was recommended by a few tik content creators and I just had to try it out. The basic idea is that this makes non-floating bait -- well -- float vs "hovering" under a bobber (I generally dislike bobbers in lake because they're impacted by the wind) and I set out to find these floats in my local stores and came up empty handed. Then I spotted this kit on Vine and immediately ordered this kit.The image with the chair shows my two poles I took on this trial run.The first pole (right) is my normal rig. Simple 1/2 oz lead egg sinker (or substitute clear bubble filled full of water), plastic bead (keeps sinker's sharp edges from rubbing the knot), snap-swivel, about 15" of leader, and hook. This is what I learned and how I've been fishin' for decades. Since it was ready to go, I stuck the worm and out into the water the bait went. Second pole (left with the green float) wasn't setup having just received this catfish kit in the mail. So, in between looking up instructions and giving pole #1 a good lead, it was about 20-minutes before I got this catfish rig cast out into the water. Imagine my surprise when the 2nd pole was fish on within 10-minutes, recast and 10-15 minutes later I had fish #2. I was very happy. Meanwhile, 1st pole still sitting in the original spot. Reeled that in to check the bait and sure enough, worm still intact.I had mixed feelings at the start about some of the components, like the hook sizes. These seemed super huge, but I don't regularly fish cats. Also thought the large floats would require a lot of lead weight to keep the rig "grounded", but nah. The floats have somewhat of a hollow core and limits floatation power. Then it occurred to me that the floats might not have enough floatation power to lift a hook and worm up off the lake's bottom, again not an issue. The floats are just right. In the end, I could not find anything wrong with this kit and will buy one when the need arises.

This was a nice addition to my fishing tackle! My wife and I love to go cat fishing and were always down to try new gear, we like fishing at Lake Dell Valle in Livermore, CA and catfish are always on the menu. These rigs work super nice and the rattler is a new device we started working and so far so good! These are fair priced, nicely put together, good material that will last and hold tight when you have nice size catfish on the line. I will recommend for sure!

These rigs are well made and very durable. I pulled in multiple fish on them and haven't had 1 break on a fish. They work exactly how they should. Couldn't find a better product at this price.
