About this item

  • NTERESTING LAYOUTS: Ample room and reasonable layout ensure your cat a comfortable and interesting experience. Your cute cat can hide in the condo, sleep on the lower hammock, and enjoy the scenery on the top perch. The scratching posts, a ladder, a hanging ball, and rope will bring him/her more fun
  • THOUGHTFUL DESIGN: The hammock is fixed in the cat scratching post, which greatly improves the weight-bearing capacity and avoids falling. In addition, the corners of the elongated platform are rounded to avoid physical injury to the cat and owner.
  • DOUBLE STABILITY: The safety and stability of the cat tree is very important, especially when your cat is jumping and playing, so we added an anti-tipping kit to the center board. You can nail it to the wall for double protection.

To my surprise it arrived 5 days earlier than expected. Like most cat trees it’s not easy to assemble (especially by yourself- with help from the cats). It took me a couple days because my hands kept cramping up but I did it. Several reviews I read said the opening of the square was a bit small but my Flame Point Siamese has no problems getting in it at all and he weighs 20 pounds! He loves the tree and hopefully will share it with his sisters soon.

When I opened the box and began checking to make sure all of the pieces were included, I was happy to see that all parts were clearly marked and the instructions made sense. I thought putting it together was going to be a breeze. Three hours later, I finished! A couple of the sections actually required one to place screws through the fabric and blindly find the screw holes inside the cat condos. Once those parts were done, the rest wasn’t too bad.The cats were all anxious to try it as soon as it was put together. They have each pretty much found their own perch. It would also be nice if more of the posts or the ladder had sisal. One of my boys looked quite disappointed when he tried to scratch on a fabric covered post, and the ladder doesn’t really serve any purpose as it’s too small. The sides of the platforms are not solid, so I’m just waiting for one of the cats to fall asleep and tumble off.The fabric covering the tree seemed a little thin to me, and the tree was made out of particle board. The ladder was already cracked upon arrival, but still usable. I don’t feel very confident about how long it will last. Most of the cat trees we have had in the past were much more solid. That being said, the cats do like it and it does look nice. It is also more stable than I anticipated it would be. I don’t think I would buy this type again because it was a pain to put together and I would rather pay a little more and get something more useful and durable.

This is a lovely cat tower for cats on the smaller side. My adult cats are, respectively, six pounds (the little piebald tabby female cat), and ten pounds (the classic tabby male cat). The platforms are just the right size for them, but I suspect might be too small for large cats. As you can see from the first photo, both cats started liking it after only one part of it had been assembled. On its completion, my male cat, as shown in the other photos, likes both the wide platform and the lower round platform. Both cats will probably like both round platforms, since the platforms are the same size and shape, with the little backing piece for the cats to snuggle against. Like most cats, they like to take to the heights, and the top platform is a very good height for that. The plush fabric covering the parts of the cat tower is nice and soft, and I like the soft silvery gray color. The design of this cat tower is pretty standard, with the ramp at the bottom, the two chambers cats can climb into, the posts that include two scratching posts, and the bobble toy hanging from the top round platform. However, I like the fact that both round platforms have the backing piece. I also like the long rectangular platform for when a cat wants to stretch out for a nap. The cat tower is very delightful for smaller adult cats and kittens. However, I would also like to mention my adventures in putting it together. To begin with, it is good that this particular cat tower has all the pieces nicely labeled and a good description of the different hardware pieces as well. It also has very good step by step picture instructions. Nonetheless, like other somewhat similar cat towers, it was a challenge for me, one person doing it, to assemble. First, the small posts that go inside the chambers are hard to stick in and straighten. Part of the reason for this is that they do have to be very firmly in place to hold the chambers open properly, so that is probably something unavoidable. Still, second, once they are more or less in place, they need to be secured with bolts going through the holes in the chambers into the openings in the posts. The holes in the posts are easy to see, but the starter holes in the chambers are not, since they are covered with the fuzzy fabric. Additionally, it was quite hard for me to line the posts up with the holes in the chambers in order to insert and tighten the bolts. I found a solution that worked for me which others might want to try. I pressed with my fingers to find the openings in the chambers. Then I used an awl to go through them and make clear where the round openings were located. Doing that carefully did not tear the fabric covering. I also used the awl to help me line up the posts with the openings in the chambers. When the awl could go through the hole in the chamber down into the one in the post, I could tell the post was lined up properly and inserted the bolt. I did this with each one and it worked. Third, I strongly suggest being very careful to follow the directions step by step and not tighten the bolts too much as you go. Some of the pictures in the directions do not make it clear which part of a particular step needs to be done first. So you may do one part of a step too soon and need to remove a post and finish another part of the step before putting the post back on. It is easier to remove a post if the bolt has not been tightened a lot. Lastly, when the whole thing was basically assembled, I went back and tightened all the bolts and made sure the posts that are instead screwed in place were turned to be as tight as possible, while also lining up the round platforms nicely. This helped to make the cat tower very steady for the cats. I also suggest keeping the Allen wrench that comes with the hardware so that you can check the cat tower periodically and tighten the bolts again if they start to loosen. When cats use these towers, the parts of the towers can start to loosen, but tightening everything again is fairly easy and keeps them steady for the cats. My one last trick to entice the cats' interest in the cat tower is to mist it with catnip spray. That made my cats get interested in this cat tower and they started climbing on it very happily. It is a well designed cat tower and the cats like it very much.
