I got this cat net to use to create a safe space for our cats to be outside. Our cats love being outside, but we live by a main road, and we don't want them wandering into traffic. So, we came up with the idea to add a "roof" to a portion of our yard between the house and a 6-foot fence, using some PVC pipe and this net to create a "roof" that they can't escape. Painting the PVC pipe black and using this almost invisible netting allowed us to get the functionality we wanted without creating an eyesore for the neighbors. The included hooks and zip ties are helpful in attaching the netting where we need it. The size was plenty big, as we planned for a little bigger than we actually needed to allow for some play. Just what we needed for our project. At the time of this review, the YCSEMIWLF Balcony Cat Net, Transparent, Preventing Falls Net, Without Drilling, Pet Cat Protective Netting, Used to Fix Balconies, Terraces, Windows, Roof Chimney Openings (13x33ft, Color: Black) was listed for $33.99 which I felt was fair for the project I was doing.

So frustrated. This material is slippery but also catches on everything. Unclear how the cord is supposed to be used as the net just slides down and bunches on it. The tension is on the diagonal so it’s tough to hang or cut it evenly without it pulling in unwanted places. It’s already cut so I can’t return it. I would not recommend this product to anyone :(

It's super customizable, which is a big win in a lot of aspects. However, it also requires a lot of extra stringing things a bit of a pain to work with. It took a long time to set up but once it's been up, we've had no problems. Our kitten took a full speed run and bounced off.

Got this to net off balcony for my cat but couldn't end up using it. The net is completely uneven and does not straighten out, I should have had multiple feet in excess after covering my entire balcony but it wasn't able to stretch enough to even finish covering it. Also can’t return it as I cut it trying to get it to work.

This is a great solution for stubborn cats who are determined to go outside when it's not in their best interest :) This netting is good quality and easy to use, especially since you can easily cut it to size for your specific space. It's sturdy and is difficult for my cats to claw at because the grid spaces are too far apart for them to get a good run at it. It looks relatively nice as it's kind of transparent, offers reliable protection, and is a great product for the price.

The "catio" is a pretty popular project these days. Netting like this is supposed to help make creating a semi-outdoor cat-friendly space a little easier. The problem is that it wasn't really easy. Even the large version was too small for the patio space we wanted to use, and we struggled to get it to stay put, without getting in the way. A couple of things to note - the holes are big enough for small birds to get through. Unfortunately, once they get in, they cannot easily get out. The kit says no drilling, however, to keep it taught you have to use the wall anchors. We also just got a kitten, and found that at 10 weeks he could actually get himself through the holes when he tried hard enough. (He is only 3 lbs currently.)I would not say that this netting is not good, it is just perhaps not quite as advertised. As long as you understand this and are building a structure you can securely and completely enclose, this is a great choice.
