Was very pleased to see the open documentation that this is a Canadian company and a Canadian product given the current state of tariff and trade war nonsense. Thank you very much for clearly disclosing that. Separate from enthusiastically ‘supporting local’ this item is everything that it claims to be.We had some recent household changes which noticeably altered the schedules that our three big cats are familiar with. Our cat herd can be broken down as follows: brothers that were rescued from a Prairie province during the pandemic who spent all of their time alone together until they were 16 weeks and the youngest (and biggest), a Maine coon. Whenever there is stress, the brothers go back to their original template: happy to hang out together. But the Maine coon is largely left to figure things out on his own.This purchase was made with him and in mind.None of the guys like the ‘new cat’ when his heartbeat is not audible. As long as his heartbeat is switched on, it seems very much as though he’s been invited as the fourth member of their collective. Everyone takes turns cuddling.It is very robustly made. Batteries came in the heartbeat generator and are locked away behind screws so they can’t accidentally be accessed and cause problems. While the Velcro that seals up the pocket compartment for the heat pack, and the heartbeat generator is hidden away from immediate cat observation it wasn’t a battle for me to find it and open it (I’ve lost a lot of sensation in my fingers and fumbling is both common and frustrating).The photo that I’ve included is of our Maine coon— he curls up to sleep with the new guy and is often seen to be curling closer and closer to the heartbeat generator.Outstanding. This puppy is so cute. Size is just right. Does not take up much space but large enough to be effective. My blind dog does not know how to play so the puppy is in a corner under my piano where she prefers to sleep. Heart beat is audible up close but not too loud to scare any animal. Love it.

We received this Calmeroos Kitty for our rescue kitten that was abandoned by its mama. The kitten LOVED the Calmeroos Kitty, but the heartbeat stopped working not long after opening. We replaced with new batteries, but it doesn't work, it's a defective heart. We wanted to give 5 stars, but for the price, the heartbeat should have lasted longer than 24 hours.

I love that this kitty can be washed and dried, and comes with the adorable heartbeat heart and heat pads. I actually got this for my son who was 2 at the time, and he still loves his kitty a year later. The heartbeat device sounds and feels very realistic, the size of kitty is perfect for a small child to hug or for newborn kittens to cuddle up with. The pocket is durable and you won’t have to worry about kittens or children opening it easily. Performance: it has lasted a year, many washings and drying, tons of hugs and it is still very much lovable (I don’t see us replacing it even in a couple years).

I was hoping Willow would like this as she is a single cat now, but she didn’t seem too interested overall. But then I found her like this. So I guess there is something to it. The toy is very soft. The heartbeat probably works well for kittens. It’s a wonderful idea overall and I’m going to hold onto it- for Willow and for future kittens we may have.

it was very soft. I didn’t end up using the heartbeat, but I actually put one of my old T-shirts on it and a blanket and the kitten loved it. He’s only three weeks old. He is a foster kitten and I am a foster mom and this is a great tool for your kittens! you can even put a warming pad/insert inside instead of a heartbeat

Kitty loves this & always sleeps with it. Heartbeat is a little loud if you yourself like it silent when you’re sleeping.

I got this for my baby kitten when he had to be quarantined in a confined space and was really sick. We weren’t able to hold him— but he was only a few weeks old, and he desperately craved love and physical touch— it was so painful not to be able to snuggle him or give him the comfort he needed, so I bought him this calmeroo. 🥹 Not only did it work, but he immediately calmed down, stopped crying, and started to actually sleep for the first time in a week. This little calmeroo became our kitten’s companion during such a rough time, where he almost didn't make it. He snuggled up next to the calmeroo every time he’d go to sleep, and then, once he started feeling better, he even started to wrestle the calmeroo! When I find pictures, I’ll update my review with them. I firmly believe that this calmeroo cat helped heal my kitten, who is doing very well today. 🙏🏻 Best purchase ever. I would hands down, recommend. If you’re thinking of it, don’t even hesitate purchasing.

I recently got a kitten and had to keep him separated from my current cat for a few days. I genuinely think this thing saved my sanity for those first few days. My kitty LOVED this stuffy and was snuggling up to it every night until I successfully introduced him to my older girl. Even then, my adult cat loved it too — and will snuggle with it every so often still!The warming pack stayed warm for about 3-4 days and I didn’t need to use the second one. The heart beat is still going strong, and it ran constantly for almost two weeks.

This was the first toy our 14 week puppy got when he moved in with us. He is now 17 months old. It is his favorite toy and has been his favorite always. I am amazed that it is still in one piece. He plays tug of war and fetch with it every day. He still sleeps with it every night. It is wonderful!

I am fostering kittens who came to me at 2 weeks old. I had them on a heating pad with a hot water bottle but the second I put this cat in, they curled up to it and finally looked relaxed. It is a great product and after 2 weeks the heartbeat is going strong and the hot packs are wonderful. I have replaced them every 3 days with hand warmer style packs which are easy to find. I love that the product is made in Canada, comes with batteries!!! and warmer packs. And it is washable, which is great with kittens who aren't litter trained yet. Highly recommended.

I bought this as a gift for my son's new puppy, an 8 week old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. The pups first night went amazingly well as he slept through the night and didn't fuss over being in a crate for the first time. This is entirely the result of Calmeroos calming effect. Not our families first pup. He climbed over the heart beat area of the Calmeroos and went to sleep. There were no problems with crate training which is kind of unheard of. I gave it a 4 star because after a month Toby (the pup) tore the Calmeroos apart going for the heat pack which he tore apart and ingested. He's small I didn't think him capable of such carnage. A call to the emergency vet for how to treat him for possible poisoning left us shaken. The Calmeroos did not come with a warning about the heat pack which I would recommend the manufacturer do. Toby was fine no ill effects. I would buy the Calmeroos again, but I would not use the heat pack.
