Your cart is empty.Sometimes simple is best. This cat toy proves the point perfectly, with just twisted paper tubes attached to a wire that you hold on one end. Home-tested by over 8 million cats, your cats will go absolutely nuts swatting and pouncing after the bobbing paper strips. The wire is 35" spring steel and the paper twists are rolled cardboard. In addition, this irresistible toy is made in the USA.

My cat loves this toy so much that he will drag it across the house to me so I will play with him. He prefers it to anything else we have ever gotten him. Like many pet toys, it does eventually get worn out. The wire loses its spring as it gets bent and the cat tears off the cardboard. It lasts for quite awhile (not sure how long since we have a few scattered around the house at any given time). For the use it gets, I find it a great value.I do tie a ribbon or something to the end I hold to help me find it. It can be hard to spot as the wire blends in with the floor or other surroundings.Definitely a repeat purchase in our household and almost as much fun for the human as the cat.

Our cat never tires of this toy (like she does with every other toy). She gets very excited and very creative in her 'hunting.' Best toy ever!!

Whoever invented this is making bank on the simplest cat toy in existence! And the fact is, cats do love it. It's very easy on the human because you don't have to do all sorts of gyrations to play with your cat. The wire moves easily on its own as you hold one end while your cat bats the other. It has the vibe of a moth or butterfly darting around. Cats get mesmerized by it! Three come in a package and it's a bargain. We keep one in each of three rooms for spontaneous play sessions. You can literally relax in a chair, hold the thing out, and the toy and the cat take it from there. (That's important to me because I have 4 cats and playtime can take a LOT of time!) Buy it.

This is such a simple toy. The creator must be rolling in dough! A piece of wire and cardboard curls on each end. My cat (and cats bygone) love this toy. It's amazing and easy to use as an interactive participant. I love this toy, always have. I call it the butterfly toy. I have yet to see a cat that does not absolutely love this toy. Simple, cheap and amazing interaction!

This product is literally just some cardboard attached to a wire. My cats go INSANE for it. I do not understand it. I have ordered this multiple times now, as eventually, the cardboard does rip or get chewed on, but it's worth it every time. Great, simple, affordable cat enrichment!

It's simple, it's safe, and it's franticly fast because the wire itself is quite lively. And the price is low. It's unbreakable in any kind of normal use in my opinion. I've gone through quite a few over the years and the cardboard pieces attached will wear out of course. But it doesn't break. My cat loves it.

This is the best cat toy ever. Every cat I've ever had loves this, my sisters cats loved theirs so much they played with it for days straight until they frayed all the cardboard ends. So much fun can't recommend it more.

I first saw one of these about twenty years ago, and quickly formed the opinion that this is the best cat toy I have ever seen. It’s just little bits of cardboard on either end of a coiled wire, but when you move or twist it, the cardboard on the end flutters like a moth. (We call it “Mothie”.) Every cat I have tried it with is instantly fascinated, even cats that turn their noses up at catnip mice, feather toys, things on strings, and laser toys. Every day, my partner’s cat walks over to where it is and looks at me as though to say “OK, let’s play Mothie”, and other toys are just no substitute. Her previous cat was hard to get to play, but went crazy going after any flying insects that got into the house. When I got her one of these, her eyes immediately lit up and suddenly she wanted to play. The tension in the wire seems just right to allow different types of movement depending on how you hold it – bobbing up and down, swishing from side to side, or (if you twist it just right) fluttering like a real flying insect. I think that’s what makes cats’ eyes light up when they see it: it seems like a real insect that needs to be caught. For a piece of wire and a bit of cardboard, it is surprisingly durable. It will last for months of daily play. I thought a cat would quickly chew the cardboard to bits, but it seems to be remarkably tough. Eventually, the wire will lose some of its bounce or the cardboard bits will separate and slide up the string and it won’t seem alive anymore. But it’s cheap to replace, and can be bought in a 3-pack.I would be cautious about how you whip it around. You don’t NEED to thrash it about hard to get the cat’s attention, and the wire is stiff enough to sting the cat if you accidentally slap it with the wire. The motion of the curved wire is also a bit unpredictable, and I’ve hit both myself and the cat in the face with it a few times, and try to make sure I don’t hit either of us in the eye. And if the cat has it in its claws or mouth, don’t yank it, because it’s wire, not soft string or yarn.Experiment with different motions – little twists with the fingers, and holding the curve of the wire at different angles – to find what generates the realistic motions that your cat responds to. It’s hard to predict exactly how it’s going to move, but with a little practice you’ll learn how to produce different felitropic motions. This is a “chase and catch” toy, and if your cat likes to play at chewing or tearing at its “catch”, you’ll want to have another toy ready for that, as there’s not much to bite and it’s too small to grab with all fours. But the cat I use it with is happy to stalk off to the other side of the room and get ready for another running pounce. Really, if you know a cat that has lost interest in its toys, you really need to try this one
