This cage was a life saver my 9 week rambunctious kitten and she seems to love it when she has to be in there. The litter box definitely a great idea. I was glad so I didn't have to get a second litter box for the crate. I would definitely recommend this for people that need to keep there pets in a cage while at work or sleeping. The installation was very easy and the instructions are very straight forward which is a plus I thought it was going to take me a little while to put together; but it was together in about 15 to 20 mins. I loved the idea of having a built in litter box and a drawer and this was the only cat cage I found anywhere online that had this feature. I need the cage for my cat who is pregnant and wanted a safe space for her to have her babies. This cage is pretty small and the bottom where she would likely have the kittens was so small and the open litter area right next to it wasn’t ideal at all. And at the same time, it was very cheap and a huge headache to put together. The clips that hold the cage to the bottom piece were absolutely worthless and would not clip on at all. The door latch for one of the doors was broken out of the box so I couldn’t even close the door. All of the clips that hold the cage together are made of very cheap and flimsy plastic. It was a disappointing mess and took over an hour to put together. I ultimately returned this mess and purchased the Amazon’s choice cat cage. It’s bigger, sturdier, comes assembled cost less, and all I needed to do was unfold it. Don’t waste your time or money with this. Just get the Amazon’s choice cat cage.

I purchased this to house feral kittens while waiting for vet appointments in a Trap-Neuter/Spay-Release program. Right now I have three four-month old kittens in this cage and they seem active and content, but I would not recommend it for holding more than three of this size. I would consider it suitable for temporary housing or confinement for one or two adult cats.I love the litter box option on the left side of the cage. I do recommend placing a small litter box inside the drawer provided, simply so you can pull it out, remove the litter box for cleaning, and reinsert the drawer so the cage remains "sealed." Since my kittens are feral, I had to maneuver a bit of cardboard into the bottom of the cage to serve as a "floor" so they would not flee from the opening left when I pulled out the litter box drawer to clean it. The right side drawer can be used for storage and has a platform that rests over it to provide a floor for the kittens.The ramp leading from the floor to the second level ends up being at a rather acute angle, probably 60-65° by eyeballing it. I generally cover the wire ramps in these cages since I have witnessed a kitten getting his paw stuck in one while walking up it (he got bumped by a sibling) and I'm glad I was there to grab him and help him out. He could have been seriously injured. I used a rough woven fabric and some twine to "sew" a covering onto the ramp that provided good traction without gaps and I recommend others do something similar. In another cage I have, I have a small cat house on the bottom level. The cats can easily jump on the flat room of this house (which they also use as a terrace or patio to lounge on) and then make a second easy jump to the second level where the food is located.That said, the second and third level of this cage are of good size and the cats easily have room to stand beside one another to eat/drink, or to cuddle up to sleep in a fur-ball on the top-most level. The platforms are secured to the sides with clips and feel very secure. There are small round holes for drainage on these platforms, so it's not difficult to secure soft washable pads on them using ties.The kittens LOVE the hammock. I have it suspended close to the top platform so they can step right into it without jumping. I often find two of them sleeping in it together and the cuteness factor is very, very high.Assembly was fairly easy and straightforward barring securing the cage to the base. The two clasp closures provided (I'm not even sure of the appropriate nomenclature) were not attached to the base as was shown in the assembly illustration and video. It was difficult to hook them on the base, then flip them up and over the catch an extruding section of the wire cage, then clamp down to hold them together. It feel that if I tried to push it down to close it, I would break the entire device. In fact, neither of them in a closed position, are fully flat against the base. However, as I said, if I try to push them down, I feel that I'm going to break it. I have purchased zip ties to provide reinforcement here.Overall, I recommend this cage to small pet owners with the safety modification to the ramp as suggested above or replacing it with a small house or other object that can support a cat and serve as a step. If anything changes my review, I'll update in the future.

It’s a great crate for an adult kitty. Which is what I was looking for. If you’re looking to put kittens in it look elsewhere. It would be too hard for them to go between levels.When it arrived half the pieces were broken. The packaging was really bad. I opened one side and all the small parts came rushing out onto my feet. However, even if the pieces break you can use zip ties to put this crate together very easily. I actually reinforced the clips that did not break with them anyway to give it a little extra strength.Another con would be the wheels. They keep popping out of the bottom so don’t expect it to move around too much. For me this is fine because I didn’t plan on moving it anyway.Despite the clips being broken and the wheels not working this is a great crate. I love the built in litterbox in the bottom and the drawer on the other side is super handy. I know my adult kitty is safe (she recently had an eye removed) and comfortable

Beside the issues I have below, the product would of been really nice for the price. Though Shipping was standard, which is slow for Amazon. When it did arrive packaging was slightly damaged. Opened up the box to see not alot or at all packaging protection. I had all the parts, but found that one of the door latches was broken. Latches came assembled and unprotected on the metal doors. With shipping it looked like it was crushed by the other parts/panels. Reached out to the manufacture warranty phone line, only to discover that this product is no longer in production. On the plus side the women was very helpful and she was able to get me a percentage of my money back for the trouble. Though had to make a new latch myself.
