I ordered this for my mom as she has a gas cooktop outside and that is where she cooks all her food. She added this to her burners and it fit perfectly and now allows her to put a smaller pot on there without the flame making the bottom of the pot black. Highly Recommended.

This is a very good, heavy, cast iron supporting ring which sits firmly upon my camping stove and on top of all the supports of my full size gas cooker which is kept in my garage for use when we have a power outage which happens now and again. It is excellent for keeping small moka pots, teapots and small saucepans sitting level and secure on gas cooker supports which would otherwise be too open to support such items. It has lugs/groves on the reverse side which keep it securely in position on the cooker supports. The finish is a little rough but this is sometimes very useful. Just do not slide it along your worktops. It comes with a polished steel "S" shaped hook which I assume is so that it can be stored hanging up. I suppose it may also be useful to lift the hot support off the hob if necessary. The support is well made and a great size and should last for a very many years, unlike many very lightweight enamelled thin steel ones. I am very pleased indeed with this and am happy to recommend it. 5*

Seems solid, heavy, and well made. I bought this to use on a homemade cinder block cooker and it will work just fine.

It could just be the design of my particular stove, which is a bit larger than some camping stoves, and the prongs are a bit thick, but this fits a bit off-centered and awkwardly on my 4 prong burner. I tried placing it a few different ways with the cutout options and some were better than others but none of them seemed to center it, I will keep trying though. Nevertheless, it does add a little bit more stability for placing smaller pots or rounded bottom pots on the burner. It rocks just a little bit if you push on the edges but placing the pot in the center is stable enough. The quality seems okay so far, I would try not to drop it from high up just in case but it seems durable enough that it should last for awhile with care.

I have several small pots and pans that are unstable on the cast iron grates that came with my stove. This cast iron ring solves the problem. The cast iron heats up quickly and allows a small pan to be stabilized. It also can act as a simmer burner by raising the pan above the flames for gentle cooking. I leave it on the back simmer burner on my stove for convenience.

I order this because I love camping and I love making espresso using a moka pot at the campsite but I don't love when my tiny moka pot falls over on my campstove. After several mishaps, started looking for campstoves with smaller hobs, but them I found this cast iron hob reducer. Perfection. It sits very properly on my 4-prong campstove hob. I could even use a super tiny moka pot with it. I can use a 1-egg fry pan while camping. Note: I'm a car-camper, not a back packer. I wouldn't want to carry this while backpacking; heavy cast iron. On the bright side, being cast iron it will last for many decades as long as I don't abuse it.I would definitely NOT use this as a trivet on a countertop. Cast iron is excellent at heat transfer, so if you put a hot pot on it, it will transfer that heat to your countertop. Don't do that unless you want to risk burning or damaging your countertop.
