I’m a big believer in stainless steel scrubbers and it surprised even me to see a bit of steel netting being recommended for scrubbing pans. However I took a chance despite the price, which I still feel is a lot, but I’m glad I did. It really works especially on cast iron cookwares and I don’t expect it to have to be replaced any time soon.

I got this to try out. I needed something to clean my iron skillets without using many scouring pads, and this little item does the trick. I was shocked to see how heavy it was for such an insignificant item, but I won’t complain since it cleans better than anything else I have used on my skillets. It doesn’t scratch them and gets them clean with ease.

I use my cast iron skillet a lot for searing meat at extremely high temperatures and then reducing the heat and finishing the meal in the same skillet on the burner or in the oven. This chain mail scrubber makes very short work of scrubbing the skillet clean. I rinse the pan and place it upside down on a warm burner to evaporate any water and then rub a light coat of vegetable oil on the inside and put it away for next time. My pan stays in pristine condition with the help of this scrubber. I rinse the scrubber and hang it above the sink to dry and it’s ready for my next meal. You really will be happy with this product.

Very very useful when cleaning the cast iron skillet. Also really easy to clean, food won't stick on it compare to the usual brush I had been using before. Overall a really great purchase!

Cleaning my cast iron pan was always an unpleasant chore so this chain mail cleaning tool is a real game changer!Each link has rounded edges so it will never scratch or gouge my pan. I put in hot water and let it soak as needed then scrub it with this chain mail and it comes beautifully clean! Nothing left stuck on! I can't believe how great this thing works!

I spent most of my working life in commercial kitchens, starting as utility staff (dishwasher) and working through the ranks to having became an Assistant Manager. In my dishwasher days, in the first restaurant I ever worked in, after several months of dish washing, I guess I impressed my store's manager because he brought me in a square of chainmail to use when scrubbing pots, pans, and baking sheets. I remember it worked extremely well and I had tried off and on for many years to find some for home use. Now I have some!Having a lot of cast iron cookware, this 'scrubber' is a true blessing to me. It removes baked on foods better than ANY brand of steel wool soap pad, or even the shredded steel stuff in most commercial dish areas, and it doesn't scratch/scar the surface of your cookware.I now use this religiously every time I wash any cast iron - even if scouring is not needed. I also use it on my stainless steel and aluminum cookware with equally great results.True, there are some things that this cannot scrub as well as soap pads can - it's not designed to be the 'scrub everything' modern wonder of the world - but for daily scrubbing, if you haven't tried it, you really should! It's safer to use and lasts a lot longer than soap pads.The biggest plus in my opinion for using chainmail (like this item) for scouring food utensils/cookware is that the food residue doesn't get trapped in it, virtually eliminating any chance for mold growth.Another big plus to me is that this doesn't rust and will last for a long, long, time.We all know spun steel wool soap pads rust immediately after first use, shrink to almost nothing in a very short time, and they retain food residue which will decay in the steel wool pad. Steel wool pads also often give slivers in fingers/hand, which is not only painful at times, but dangerous to our health because of the bacteria growing on the decaying food trapped in the steel wool - a great way to get an infection.I'm VERY happy with this product. It's a nice size to use and with a bigger ring at the corner, it's easy to hang up when not in use.BOTTOM LINE: This should be used by everyone who washes dishes. (It may take you a few times to get accustomed to the feel of it, but it doesn't stab you with shreds of steel and will always be the same size.)For what it's worth: I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ITEM

It’s great to use when cleaning your pots and pans as well as cast iron pans. It saves on constantly buying Brillo pads. It’s easy to use and clean after using. It arrived quickly. The item was reasonably priced. I definitely recommend.

I got this based on one my brother in law had. When I got it I discovered that it was smaller than the one he had, I use it and it works ok but is a bit more difficult to use/hang onto then the larger one he had. Other than that is works the same and does a great job.
