This item worked great for a few months. Ought it less than a year ago and no longer works. The detector indicates FAIL for all bills, even those that I have verified and received directly from my bank.

There’s been an influx of fake bills so we had to get this machine. The machine is small and works great. it’s very durable. It’s a good value for your money. I do recommend this item

We use these at our 7 convenience stores. They are more reliable than a counterfeit pen and don't take up a lot of space on the counter. Quick and clear reading of bills. The first batch I ordered have been in use for over a year with no issues. Just ordered a few more to make sure we have one at every register.

I have a retail store and people come in and try to pass counterfeit bills all the time. My people hold the bills up and if it’s done really well they can’t tell the difference. So I got these counterfeit checkers so they don’t have to deal with that anymore. I’m not losing anymore money or product. It’s a Good purchase for a business. Worth its money.

Hi - I purchased this scanner to use in New Zealand.The size of the currency notes were too wide for the scanner and for the $5.00 that did fit was not recognised and so failed.

I am amending my previous 1-Star review. Andy Jones, Cassida's new Technical Service Manager is GREAT! He looked at the open service ticket, where they wouldn't honor the warranty, and retroactively honored it. He personally brought me a new unit and took away the old unit. If their service had been like this from the start, they would have all 5-star ratings, I'm sure. They admitted there was an issue with the old units (2018 and before) that has now been corrected. My contact with Andy has restored my confidence in Cassida. So, I'm giving them a 4. Sorry, I had to take something off for the previous hassle...Bought this for my store. Easy to set up, easy to use...then it quit working after only 2 months. It would fail EVERY bill. I contacted Customer Support and was told it just needed to be cleaned. I followed their instructions and no change. I contacted Customer Support again, after 3 or 4 more tries, they said it just needed to be cleaned (again). It has now been 7 months since I bought it, I can't use it, Cassida won't honor their warranty. Piece of crap equipment from a fraudulent company. Save your money, buy something else!

In our area there are a lot of crooks that try to use fake bills. We've been stuck before, several times, even using all kinds of other counterfeit detection methods.This machine is great and we have not had one fake bill since. It's very quick and doesn't interrupt the payment process. My customers don't mind us using it. No machine can be 100% accurate every single time so if a bill doesn't pass the first time we put it through again and again. If it doesn't pass after the 3rd or 4th time it's definitely a fake. We know it and the person handing us the bill knows it. We had stopped accepting $50 and $100 bills before this machine which upset a lot of honest people. Now we can confidently accept any denomination.We love this machine and have it at all of our stores.

I have ordered 3 of these. 2 of them are working great. They are very fast and effective. The third one stopped working after about 1.5 months. I tried to call the company to send it in for repair/replacement and I cannot get a hold of a single person in any department. I tried calling sales, tech support, and the operator. No one answers their phones. I called at different hours for 2 days 5-20-15 and 5-21-15 and I got a hold of the operator one time. I asked if I could talk to tech support and if they are still open. She said they were there and she transferred me. No one answered. I called back and no one answered in any of the departments again. The next day I called no one answered still. I have called 20+ times. I would not recommend buying these even though they do function better than other ones I have tried. If it breaks or something goes wrong, you will be on your own. I think they must be going out of business or something. 888-800-0303 is the number I kept calling.EDIT: I still tried to call these guys every few days or so since I wrote this review. I was still unable to get a hold of anyone. I called Amazon and they were nice enough to level me return it directly to them. Now I have to decide if I want to roll the dice and order another or go with a different brand. I think I will try something else.
