Assembled and ready for action—just waiting on my actual desktop to arrive (minor detail, right?). This standing desk was shockingly easy to put together—like, “only one existential crisis” easy. The quality is solid, the controls are smooth, and it looks way more expensive than it actually was. I've already been test-driving it with a piece of plywood and a tablecloth because patience is not one of my virtues. Can’t wait to pair it with my walking pad and fully live out my treadmill-desk dreams. Highly recommend if you're ready to upgrade your workspace without downgrading your sanity.

You can probably find a completed electric height adjustable computer desk for less. However, I wanted this as I am using it in a closet and wanted to be able to get a top size that fits my needs well. Putting my desk in the closet has really increased the available square footage in my home office. I am still able to use the overhead shelf and only needed to run a power strip in.I like that this is a very sturdy desk as it easily supports a lot of my gear. I don't use it for standing as the monitor is a bit too tall for that but it is nice to adjust for different sized users.

Everything came in a heavy, but slim package so I was alittle skeptical initially. After opening everything and getting parts organized- everything was just really well packed with minimal waste. Its big improvement compared to similar other desks that have boxes within boxes within boxes with components still managing to arrived dinged and dented somehow. Counted all fasteners- they include 1 extra it seems in case something gets lost during assembly. Parts all look good and pretty nice quality. Instructions were really easy to follow and I was able to get base assembled and tested in about alittle under half an hour. Paddle controller is pretty simple and buttons are responsive and macros are set easily. Motors sound healthy- no loud whine or other audible issues. Tested with a gen 1 odyssey which is like 30+ Ibs, and pc built in a deepcool quadstellar pc case which by itself is also alittle over 30 Ibs, pc is likely closer to 40ish Ibs. Along with a heavy duty monitor arm, a heavy 3d printers and a gaming console, on top of a repurposed oak butcher block. There's probably about 150Ibs or more here and the motor and legs appear to running smoothly without struggling. The price for something comparable to other popular vendors at like 25-30% of the cost is insane. Time will tell if it lasts and is really worth it, but currently- this thing is a value performing beast. Very satisfied.

The Casaottima brand “Electric Standing Desk Frame, Dual Motor … with Memory Presets … 40 to 79 inch Desktop, Black Frame Only” is quite a good deal at $156.Last year I bought a similar product from that big international Swedish furniture company, which cost $600 then and has a max load of 154lbs/70kg. The Casaottima version has identical looking posts, connectors, and control panel, but 3 preset heights instead of 4 that the big-I version. Casaottima claims it has a max load of 220 lbs, but I could not get it to do more than 200 lbs. Still, more than 154!The packaging and assembly instructions are phenomenal, “big-I” could learn something from Casaottima. Each part is labeled with a letter or a number. Major parts are denoted with a letter, which appears as a sticker on the part. Smaller parts are denoted with a number and all are provided in separate bags labeled with the number. The instructions do include an inventory of each, such as “#2 is 9 of M6x30”. This is a vast improvement over the big-I setup in which you need to go through the bag of parts to separate the M6x30’s from the M80’s etc. They intentionally include one extra of every screw. Notwithstanding how improbable and infrequent that a screw is missed, lost, or damaged: That is a lovely gesture to us customers.Sadly, I did manage to slightly damage a part during assembly by torquing a screw too tight. I guess I expected the provided wrench to fail, but it did not. So kudos for the provided tools. I would have liked if torque recommendations were provided, but who has a torque wrench?

We have a couple of elevating desks in the house that use almost this exact same frame but from a different manufacturer so when I saw this one I wanted to use it for the shop. Assembly is relatively simple, just follow the steps and make sure you put the pieces in the right direction and you should have no problems. Once its assembled you will find that its a very solid frame and can hold quite a bit of weight and stay balanced. I plan on putting a worktop from an old bench and have no concerns other than perhaps using a heavier set of mounting screws than the ones provided. For a standard desk the provided screws will work fine but if you are in doubt, spend a couple bucks and get some longer and/or heavier duty ones. I also noticed that the interface is a bit more touchy than our house desks, if everything isn't set up perfectly you will get one of a number of error codes. This isn't a big deal because the booklet will tell you what the issue is and then you can correct it but it is a bit more sensitive than I would prefer. Other than those points nothing so far that I can see that is concerning and I have no problem recommending it.

There are very similar items for a much lower price. I liked it becuase I was able to make a more customized standing desk. A lot of the out of the box desks are much smaller. I liked the option to go wider. Note the picture - 220 lbs - that person is well over 220 lbs. I think it will hold 220 but that also includes the weight of the top. I definitely wouldn't recommend sitting on it - but it will comfrotably hold the desk top, computer or laptop and anything else you need to work.
