Wow... this is a LARGE framing square. The movable angle finding guide is a really nice feature. It allows the square to lay flat on your work piece, unlike traditional framing squares. In addition, it can set at any angle, so you are not just measuring 90 and 45 degrees. Super easy to read and the quality (machined not ground) seems to be there. I put a marker in the photo so you can get a reference for the size of the square. BONUS... it comes with red and black long tip markers. Great for when you are marking the inside of holes and could come in handy when using the square. A great addition to my wood shop and I can see using it on the jobsite... but only if I'm going to be careful with it. Unlike the other large rigid ABS (plastic) square that I have, which can withstand temperature changes, impacts and abuse, I feel like I'd have to baby this a bit. Overall, a very useful tool and a good value.

This is a serious tool. It is large and made of heavy metal. My husband loves his woodworking. This carpenter square is really going to come in handy.

I use speed squares all the time, they're invaluable. I have squares made by Stanley, Empire, and Milwaukee, and this one, despite the unpronounceable name, holds up to the best of them.I was a little bit skeptical, because I tend to only trust the big tool companies whose names I know. But a carpenters square is not the sort of item that you need a warranty for, and this thing is built from a thick piece of aluminum. If it ever needs replacing then I will be guilty of some serious abuse of my tools. The carpenters square itself looks really good, and everything is very precise. The tightening screw on the adjustable angle feels good too. What you see here is what you get, I haven't found any unexpected surprises and rather expect that I will get a few decades of good use out of this before I pass it on to a younger builder. As far as value for price, at first I thought this might be overpriced, but looking more closely I cannot find 12 inch squares with adjustable angles at the big box stores. Yes, you might save a little if you go for a standard square without the adjustable angle, but the going price for all the features is what you see here. And it's solid.

We were building an odd shaped sub box that had 4 angled cuts that we needed to figure out and not normally doing things like that this was a life saver. We were able to use this to figure out what to set our cutter at at match things up perfectly. In the past I would need to grab a school protractor to try and eye ball it. This makes it so so much easier. It a heavy metal that feels like it will hold up over time.

Setting an inside angle is useful for this tool. I like it.

Got this for my guy and he's happy with it. The adjustable angle thingy in the middle is good for repeated cuts. Keeps them uniform. Pretty heavy aluminum too. The white lettering is easy to see in daylight.

This is the first triangle I’ve had like this with a raised portion on the top and bottom where you can set an angle which you can then draw an angle line to to cut with. Once I figured out, you could put it over the edge of your wood, it makes sense. But when I first got it the box because it’s not thick enough smashed open, and the pens rolled out, one of them not being in a case. I thought maybe Amazon sent me a slice of pizza which you can clearly see the box says. Well, actually, I wrote that on the box because I thought it was funny and that’s what it looks like. overall this is an interesting tool that I can see using here and there as a primary or back up angle finder. But in reality, I have a digital version that I’d probably rather use. However, sometimes you really need to place the angle finder against the side of the wood, which this will be perfect for.
