I have had CarLock installed for about one year. Definitely a good product and it does what is advertised. With additional vibration monitors installed, you will know if something amiss is occurring with or around your vehicle. If you roll with a high end automobile or a popular muscle car, this is a product you should definitely install for security and peace of mind.

Il prodotto funziona bene, fa il lavoro che promette, specie se abbinato ai sensori sulle porte assume un’efficacia maggiore, ovviamente a fronte di un abbonamento mensile o annuale (a discrezione dell’utente) . Unica cosa da ricordare è che quando si fa un aggiornamento dello smartphone, dopo occorre disinstallare e reinstallare l’app da capo, altrimenti non arrivano più le notifiche di allarme. I falsi allarmi che di rado possono arrivare dai sensori delle porte sono generalmente dovuti a vibrazioni causate da spostamenti d’aria della vettura, specie se l’auto è parcheggiata su strade dove le auto viaggiano ad una certa velocità. Infine, con un po’ di manualità il prodotto può essere installato in piena autonomia.

The CarLock works very well for the price of the unit and the subscription that is monthly. I love the app that is used because it is super intuitive and informative. I like that it shows how many miles I've put on, the driving time, how many trips I've made, and the average and top speed throughout the month. There are also many notification settings that make it easy to manage what you want to be notified about, my favorite being the timer lock that automatically turns on after 5 minutes after the car is shut off. The GPS tracking is pretty accurate which works for me.The only downside in my opinion is it does take a few minutes for the CarLock to notify you when it is locked and the car starts. For example, I always auto-start my car before driving and the notification sometimes does take about a minute or two to notify me that the car has been started, this only happens a minority of the time but should be mentioned. Also I have accidentally kicked the CarLock unit out of the OBD and it was late to notify me.All in all, the system works relatively well for the price that it costs. I would definitely recommend if you need a GPS tracking system that is a good price and relatively accurate.

UPDATE:NOT in the instructions or the help section of the app, but onliine: Best optimum results is the unit "pointing vertical label side up". I suggest getting the extension or splitter is required. Once installed, go to an open lot and drive in a circle about 3 - 5 times. this insures the device sees at least 3 satellites for accuracy. If using the extension, check your car's orientation on the map screen. If backwards, turn the carlock around where you mounted it. Buildings, trees, reflections will cause gps readings to be off. But if you drive around, Carlock will learn where the visible satellites are. This is true of any small gps.Cellphone notification speed is dependent on proximity to a cell tower and cell traffic. YMWV.This is not an alarm but a notification and tracking system. The built in vibration sensor is hit or miss. Don't depend on it.Easy to install and setup. Very little instructions needed. But read what is there first. They say give the device at least 7 days to learn your car, where you park it, and how you drive. This is important as every vehicle is built different, handles vibration different, and moves differently.The monitored circle sizes should be smaller than the two provided. I know gps and cellular location accuracy can be off by a few feet but the circles are too large. Add a smaller third and let us decide.Get the splitter. Do not plug into the port directly. The splitter will lock onto your OBD securely and you can hide your carlock while keeping your port accessible. Zip tie or gorilla tape the Carlock to the steering wheel column (if possible), or a metal frame under the dash for better vibration transfer.Sign up for the plus plan monthly or yearly. The basic gives updates every 30 seconds. Plus is every 15 seconds. Worth the extra $2 a month. Better realtime tracking updates and displaying precise turns.For the money, it is priceless for piece of mind.If setup properly, performance is great.

Le CARLOCK traceur GPS voiture et alarme est efficace et abordable qui offre une tranquillité d'esprit. La géolocalisation précise et les alertes en cas de comportement suspect sont des atouts majeurs. Il est branché directement dans la prise OBD de mon Toyota C-HR, cela fonctionne parfaitement.L'abonnement mensuel est nécessaire pour accéder à certaines fonctionnalités et la couverture réseau peut être limitée dans certaines zones comme elle parking sous terrain.J'ai acheté ce produit principalement pour détecter des comportements suspects notamment la nuit, le capteur vibration est assez sensible.Je suis satisfait de mon achat et de la qualité du produit / service fourni.

Wir wollten zum Schutz unseres Wohnmobils ein gutes System mit einem ordentlichen Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Nach langer Suche haben wir mit CARLOCK dieses System gefunden. Die Installation ist sehr einfach und schnell, man benötigt keine großen technischen Kentnisse oder ähnliches. Auch der Download der App war problemlos. Die App ist sehr übersichtlich und leicht zu verstehen. Direkt nach Anschluss und nach dem Anlassen des Motors hat das System sofort reagiert und entsprechende Warnungen an die App gesendet. Jetzt nach mehreren Fahrten mit dem Wohnmobil wird das System immer genauer und ist sehr hilfreich. Alles in allem eine sehr gute Investition in ein sicheres System. Zu guter letzt muss man die hervorragende Kommunikation mit dem Unternehmen hervorheben. Man wird in E-Mail Form informiert über aktuelle Themen, über angebotene Unterweisungen etc. falls nötig.

I like the fact of being alerted via my phone instead of waking up the block with an annoying car alarm. Especially if it’s a false alarm. The sensors are great but the key tag is spotty. The key tag sensor works great disarming the Car Lock but is spotty arming the device when you walk away. You can also use the app to automatically make the system active minutes after you park. There are some fun features on the app that you could use to get the most out of the system. CarLock is far cheaper, tracks your vehicle, easy to transfer to another vehicle and easy to install and use. A must have for the security conscious owner.

Great product, the pros:1-has great alerting and alarming system, detects vibrations very well, extremely useful for knowing where your vehicle is if it was town away as it tracks continuously (this is also a con for the battery, more later).2-alerts immediately if disconnected, better than competitors that alert only after reconnection.3-affordable prices and quick updates (about 13 CAD), 15 s updates.4-nice interface5-zoning and behavior alarming is very good!6-great battery level indicatorCons:1-quite bulky, depending on your car, it might be connected in an awkward position that can leave it and the obd port damaged, unless you buy an OBD port extender.2-continuously updates so it drains battery life (havent had an issue so far with this but its good to be aware of this)3-doesnt seem to read engine faults like some other competitors4-cannot see all vehicles on same interface like other competitors5-doesnt have multi-car discounts (as far as I know, also nothing mentioned of this on the website)Overall I’m satisfied but I use this on expensive vehicles that I want strictly to monitor any vibrations or such incidents on.

Da la localización muy bien, hasta ahora me detecta vibración o movimiento. El servicio técnico me ha atendido bien. Solo tienes que usar el traductor de Google para lo que no sepan Inglés. Pero sin problemas, me han ayudado a salir de una duda. Porque el dispositivo tiene Bluetooth, pero solo se usa para diagnosticar el aparato, si este falla. Y lo conectan ellos si lo ven necesario. No es para ver la diagnosis del vehículo. La cuota varía según la modalidad que tomes. Con la más barata me va bien, a fin de cuentas es lo que te puede costar mantener una SIM de prepago, con la ventaja de que este tiene un soporte que lo gestiona. Como alarma de este tipo, no está mal. Puede ser inhibida. Detecta el corte de corriente y avisa, dudo que avise ante la inhibición de frecuencias. Lo puedes gestionar con la App Móvil y con el PC.
