I didn’t have to have this tool to rebuild my carburetor but it sure made it easier to remove and install the float seal. The built in float gauge was pretty handy too. It may be a while before I need it again but it’s nice to have when I do. I know cheap Chinese knockoff carburetors are readily available and work very well but I prefer to rebuild the OEM carburetors with OEM parts. They last longer in my opinion.

My dad loved Craftsman tools, who does not? I was using a pair of needle-nose pliers with a hook on the tip that a friend of mine helped me make many years ago, and the back end of the float needle stopper to install the gasket in the hole for the gasket, the time it took was a ridiculous waste of time. This tool is so quick, that even a person with poor coordination can do the job, very fast and correctly, with no more waste of gas which is great. The person sticks the gasket on the end of the installer tool and installs the gasket, it is that fast. WOW!!! Done, go cut your grass. Thank you to whoever designed and made this tool, part of this tool is from the knitting world, and the seller also, the world is ready, for this innovation of time. Thank you.

Bought as a spare for on the go. Already have a genuine one so was sceptical of this but at the price compared to a genuine thought why not. Was surprised when it turned up decent quality, not quite as well machined, but for the price I am more than happy. Would definitely consider another one should I misplace one. Attached photos for comparison. (Genuine top, copy below)
