Used these for a cast iron engine block to remove casting flash and sharp edges. Hard to find in this length. They cut through cast iron with ease. Very sharp and easy to control with my variable speed air grinder. Looks like they will last a long time. A great buy…!!

I’m in the process of porting some cast iron cylinder heads. I recommend to anyone using a carbide burr on steel or cast iron to get a variable speed grinder. The regular air powered ones run too many rpms. This is why people complain about vibration and chipped teeth on cutters like these. One other thing, that you’ll experience is that these are 1/4” diameter shanks and a lot of the grinders have 6mm (.236) collets, which is a pain.

Needed extra depth to increase the size of a mortise lock recess. Worked quickly and effectively, and had the depth I needed.

I use these carbide bits for porting, they are very durable and I would really recommend them. They don’t ware out as quick as most other bits do.

Work great for my 350 SBC TBI throttle body mode. It shaved down that small wall around my throttle body. I loved it but it didn’t last long. I was able to use one of the bit once because after a few min the sharpness was gone. But I still have four more bits to go..
