UPDATE: The photo of the product is not what you get. It is a bag, not the hard-shell carrier in the product photo. I was able to put 8(!) 45-quart plastic totes inside the carrier and 2 pillows and there's still room for more! Zippers are very strong, outer material is thick, and the zipper cover has lots of velcro to cover them to prevent the weather getting in. Will update after first trip. So far, it's impressive!

Worked great! We put it on our Honda Odyssey. We don’t have a roof rack so we followed the instructions for installing on the doors. All the doors closed just fine with it on. Easy to use. We followed the instructions and we had zero noise or flapping - which included 10 hours of driving on an interstate, rain, and snow there and then back. It rolls up nicely for when we arrived at our destination. Everything inside was dry even after all the weather!

It's roomy very sturdy, have used it in heavy rain and snow conditions with no leak problems. It's fairly easy to use. It ties down well. Have found it very useful to store our "soft items" making our backseat available for our dogs.

This carrier is a decent size, and holds a lot. The installation was fairly easy, however, with only one door opening on our van it was a little harder to install. It provided what we needed at the last minute, but I would definitely rethink the purchase if I were to do it again. It doesn't hold it's shape, so basically it goes around whatever is in it.

I recently took this on a 9,500 mile road trip on Route 66 and some national parks and this thing held up great the whole time. Was water resistant, it kept the rain out of the contents inside. It never ripped or tore anywhere. It withstood the heat of Death Valley and going high speeds. It stayed fixed the the roof of my car, except for once when my buddy didn’t tighten one strap. It did cause my RAV4 to take a considerable hit to fuel economy but that’s to be expected.When you’re on a long road trip you need something like this to be reliable and this was. Not a single issue for the whole 9,500 mile month long trip.

I can't speak for everyone but based on some of the reviews I think many people don't know these bags have a learning curve. Make sure the bag is facing the right way (no zipper side is the front) and pull the straps tight so the bag doesn't flap to avoid fraying. A flapping back will fatigue and fray.Aside from that, this bag was easy to use. We drove over 3100 miles from Arizona though New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, and North Dakota through snow, wind, and plenty of wet snow slush. This bag held up through the highway speeds, Wyoming gusty wind, and all the moisture.Lots of storage:It was able to fit a full size checked bag, mid size, and 3 small carry-ons with a little room at the back for small things (in our case, dog food).Gas mileage:Our Forester's mileage took about 10-20% hit but all things considered, having a bag this big on the roof that isn't horrible. I think a hitch carrier might impact mileage less, but it won't hold as much either. 🤷♂️Tips:I found that coiling the included straps around themselves cut down on wind noise. See photo for example.Since we were travelling through high wind and cold, I added some ratchet straps for piece of mind. I was afraid the plastic buckles on the bag would break, however we did not have any issues.Issues:I did have one of the zipper pulls come off track during our return trip. The other zipper pull did the job solo and we got home without issue.I could fix it myself but we decided to reach out to the company since they claim to have a good warranty. Unfortunately we have not heard back. I would give 0/10 for customer service. I will update if the situation changes.Update: the seller messaged me after posting my review. I am disappointed they did not respond to email, but they have offered to replace my damaged bag. 10/10.

Pros - I didn't have to install a luggage rack (but that's for all removable racks)Cons -1- quality of the strap is so inferior the buckel snapped when I was testing the rack on the floor.. thank God I didn't mount it2 - no door hooks given which means i have to install a railing or buy door hooks separately which cost around 4k separately3 - The stitching around the carrier is really low quality.. i put some bags during testing and tried to zip it. The zip was stretched and could separate from the bag if i applied more pressure.. remember that's what will happen if we mount it..So overall not worth it.. there are other products that will give you accessories to support your installation while this comes in a below standard plastic bag..
