I got this mainly to use to keep warm in the car over my lunch break. I doesn't draw a lot of power, so I can turn it on instead of running the car and take a cat nap over my lunch break. I works quite well for that. I live in Minnesota, so that's a real plus. It's also a good idea in case I get stranded somewhere in the winter. My only "complaint" is that I'd like it to get a bit warmer than it does. Otherwise, I'd give it 5 stars, The quality is good and it's adequate for my uses. Easy to use, long cord,

I bought this for my girlfriend because she's a bus driver and freezes on the bus during winter. She said it works great and definitely keeps her warm.

Purchased Dec 2022: I drive a 2014 Tesla Model S and in the winter the car uses a lot of energy for heating. This blamket is NOT a substitute for using the heater but it is a nice addition to keep energy costs lower. Of course I still use the heater but this minimizes energy use, sometimesI get as low as 238 W/hr per mile (the Model S is rated at about 315 W/hr per mile, and lower is better) with weather in the 30-40s.it heats up very quickly and stays warm for longer than I expected when turned off. It also has a safety option that turns off automatically after 30 minutes (or 45 if you change it) so no worry that it will run continuously and run down the battery.As always I will update if my opinion changes, especially in relation to longevity.

Can be plugged into a solar power station such as a Jackery in your tent or if your trailer is equipped a 12 volt outlet. The half hour timer is perfect to warm you on cold nights. If you get cold in the night you can push the button for another half hour or 45 mins. Very efficient for conserving power and very cozy and well made.

It's a fair blanket. It dose take a while to warm up like it says, but it really dose get warm,sometimes too warm that may son kicks it off. It's been nice to have though to warm little man's car seat while the rest of the car is warming up on winter mornings.

Bought this for use in our camper trailer.Unfortunately this product does not perform. Ran it for 30mins and the only result was two 'hotspots' about the size of a tennis ball that were barely warm. The product was drawing the suggested 4amp current, so was functioning normally. I bought two blankets and both performed the same.There is no denying the blanket is very warm to be under, but there is no warmth difference to the blanket being on or off.I returned the product and now instead use an inverter driving a mains electric blanket (draws 5amps) with much better results, and it was cheaper!!!

I don't typically go through the trouble to leave a positive review (lol) but since I was so distraught over the wide range of happiness in the reviews I read before I bought this product, I figured I would.I finally bought this for my car :) Apparently, buying a converter for the cigarette lighter so you can bring a household heating blanket into the car is NOT a good idea :-/ Who knew. This blanket heats up well. It heats up to a nice toasty temperature. It heats up within a few minutes. Clearly it worked when I used it, and it has been working every day all week. My co-worker bought this same blanket and it lasted her 3 winters of every day use. It did not catch on fire. It did not electrocute me. It did not get burning hot and burn me.I like to use it for my commutes, which do not last more than 45 minutes, in this cold state of MN, when my car takes a long time to heat up. It has a half hour shut off and a 45 minute shut off that are automatic. That is a plus to me. It covers my legs perfectly AND it's a nice thick blanket. I thought it was hard to tell in the picture how thick the blanket was (I don't want to feel the heating wires, ew).I would only have one tiny warning. Be prepared to get those little static shocks when your moving the blanket around (like when removing it to get out of the car). It's only a very minor and explainable occurrence. Just use your head at the gas station ;-). I really looked around in stores and online to find the perfect blanket for my car. There is actually not a lot of choices! If I was sitting next to you and you wanted to know, I would say just buy it. It's worth it!

Many years ago my grandfather had a heating pad he kept in his car for hit back on long car trips. No matter how long it was plugged in, that thing never seemed to warm up at all.When I picked up this heated travel blanket a few months ago I hoped it would at least produce some heat. Living in northern Minnesota, it gets extremely cold and there is always a fight over the vehicle thermostat. Someone is always getting to warm from the heater while someone else is still too cold. On one trip I plugged in this blanket and couldn't believe how toasty warm it got! It warmed up just as hot and just as quickly as a household electric blanket does. I was thrilled and finally warm enough while in the car going places in the cold winter.They work so well I bought 2 more and gave them to friends who are also always cold in the car as Christmas gifts this year. These are terrific and I only wish I had known about them sooner.
