Works as intended, tried to put on dash and was 90 degrees off. Moved it around car until I found a spot on the windshield where there was no electrical interference. Did it even when car was off. Checked with expensive Marine Compass and it would do the same thing as this one so this compass was not at fault for inaccurate readings.

Supposed to be dashboard, but no way to mount it, and only adjustable for a more vertical surface if you glue it and drill and screw. Plus, it is off by 30-40*, pointing north where it is northeast. There is no point even trying to mount it. A waste of money that is hard to get back.

Update: My husband found some adhesive tape, adhered it and it doesn't work.🫤 I may not have paid much but if it doesn't work, it doesn't matter what you pay.I purchased this for my husband's birthday. He has not been able to use it yet as the adhesive strips it was supposed to come with were not in the box.

I thought maybe some of these reviewers may not know how to use it, and that's why the reviews were not too good. But no, it's not always accurate, gets stuck, and is easily effected by nearby metal or magnetic objects. Waste of money!
