Hooked it up to a high temperature switch behind a propane refrigerator in our motorhome and it tested great with just a 9V battery. Hope to never see it in action but it would certainly wake me up... Similarly for an engine fire on a diesel pusher.

Installed over 2 months and still working without issue despite been get heavy rain. Has "appropriate" sound and loudness to use in a residential and parking lot to alert but not being too annoying. But just so not to annoy my neighbors if using in late night, have added an on/off switch in the circuit.

I was pondering on returning this. However, given the price, decided to keep it and install it. Just brought a smile to my face when I installed this. The alarm is loud and works as described. This lil gadget is absolutely worth the price. Installation was a breeze, I cut the reverse tail light wire and added this with the help of a wire splicer and clips (not included). Could have just taped it to wires but decided to use a clip. Also, decided to install it on the inside as I don't need to wake up my neighbors. I just wanted this to warn folks on their phones, cycles, and skateboards. Absolutely a must if you back up your car or live on a busy street . Thank you for this product.
