Dude, Capri has become one of my go to brands when I am needing a tool I don’t have. These are definitely professional grade, but priced for us diy people. I use mine to snug up lug nuts with the impact, before taking them up to torque specs with a torque wrench. Which is I’m sure how almost everyone uses these torque sticks lol. Great tool, great price! I will buy again if needed, I will definitely buy Capri tools too as I need them.

I have been using a cordless impact to take my wheels off but always put them back on with a breaker bar and torque wrench for fear of over doing it. with this extension i now use my impact to install and i just double check them with the torque wrench. much faster and easier way to do things, wish i discovered this years ago

Used for 8 months daily as a lube tech and this has held up phenomenally. Torques wheels around 85ft lbs and max 100 if trigger happy.

I worked at a GM dealership and they made a policy change that instead of using a torque wrench to tighten the wheel nuts, they recommended using a torque stick. I ordered this torque stick and had it in two days. It looks feels and works fine and the price was very inexpensive compared to the tool dealers.

Actually this is made in Taiwan, and I have great experiences with Taiwan tools. The case is very well made with long lasting hinges rather than just bent plastic. The sticks are great and are painted in a groove which protects the paint from being scratched.

This torque extension is very handy to install car wheels. The extensions are accurate. Simply get the extension 10ft/lbs less then the target required torque. Then torque with a torque wrench to reach desired final result. Great to have in the trunk and will make a flat tire change much quicker and easier. These extensions are only used to assemble only not to remove fasteners. I do recommend these capri torque extensions. Will upgrade to a five star rating, if they last a minimum of three years.

Recently I was in the hospital for a while and a dear friend took my wife's van and had some new tires installed as an act of kindness. A short time later as we prepared to make a trip out of state, I needed to replace the brakes. Fortunately, I had a young strong muscular fellow helping me. First, we tried an impact and could not break the lug nuts loose, then we tried a four-way, even standing on it could not break them loose, finally I had to get a breaker bar and jack handle. It is a wonder we did not snap the studs. If my wife would have had a flat, there would have been no way she would have ever been able to get the wheel off the car. I asked my buddy where he had the tires installed and gave them a pep talk of encouragement about proper wheel torque. Almost every vehicle we own requires between 75 - 85 ft-lb of torque, this extension provides just that. Over the years we used these religiously at the tire shop I managed. Most people don't understand that over-tightening a lug nut is just as detrimental as under-tightening one. When a lug nut is over-tightened, it puts undue stress on the lug stud threads, stretching far beyond their intended means, and creating an unsafe situation. This is usually the case when a wheel suddenly snaps off a car going down the freeway. It usually doesn't happen all at once but over time the damage is compounded. If your local tire shop is hammering on your lug nuts, you should consider going somewhere else or at least ask for them to properly torque them, it could save your life in the long run. This product is must for DIY mechanic and is as easy to use as any other socket extension.

The accuracy of torque sticks varies with the tool that's driving them, so you have to test your results with a torque wrench to be sure, at least to start. I'm using these with a Dewalt electric impact wrench (894). The 65# stick delivers 65-80# on high setting, and the 140# stick delivers 140-150#, so I couldn't be happier. There are enough options in the kit so you could try some other combinations to get the results you need. The case is really excellent.

Have been using these since at the day I got them. Have tested accuracy and they are within 2% of rated torque. Case is pretty durable. Price was pretty good. Only issue I have with them so far is that they seem to be a bit long at times (especially if using standard length impact sockets instead of shallow)

Quality seems good; however, the torque stick I used was not very accurate. Some lug nuts were undertorqued and some slightly over. Overall it works, as long as you check everything with a calibrated torque wrench. It's definitely a must have if you want to use a impact wrench to install lug nuts. It saved me a lot of time and made my seasonal wheel/tire changes effortless!

I must say, I'm really not sure how or why these things work, but they do. I suppose the shaft absorbs some of the torsion and stops the impact wrench, but I'm not a mechanical engineer, so that's just a guess. I do know they're a necessary accessory to any impact wrench that doesn't have built-in torque limiting (and most of them do not). Try to install lug nuts using an impact wrench without limiting the torque, and most likely you're going to do some damage. In terms of accuracy, I've found these torque-limiting extensions to be accurate to within +/- 5 foot/lbs compared to a conventional torque wrench. That's plenty accurate for most applications (and frankly, at least as accurate as most torque wrenches in the real world unless they've just been calibrated that morning).Obviously, don't use these extensions when loosening fasteners. Use them only when tightening.
