Not much difference between this & pastelmat. Probably a bit smoother & more consistent paper quality. Not found any defects

First time using this paper. I used a sheet of the black for a KC Chiefs sports piece in Pastel. Found the black a little hard to cover up when it come to the white jerseys. Probably not my favorite paper to use but as I am a realist and it was a little hard to be able to get all the details I am accustom to. Going to do more experimenting with it.
