It consists of 11 elements in 9 groups and uses an spherical lens element to correct aberration for excellent image quality throughout the zoom range and a circular aperture for exquisite rendering of out-of-focus backgrounds. Without a lot of size, weight or cost, this lens expands picture-taking possibilities any time slow shutter speeds are needed.

I dropped my camera and it landed on the lens and did something to the auto focus. I ordered a replacement from Amazon and it works great. I wasn't sure if it was the lens or something in the camera that didn't work at times but after putting on the new lens it works great and it focus's every time.

"White Box" (new) lens is exactly as advertised. Lens is Canon - lens cap reads "Olympus" - odd for "new" lens but not a functional issue. Packaging is only suitable for in-store sale. Flimsy box and one layer of bubble wrap. Need better solution for shipping than unpadded envelope. White box crushed inside envelope but lens survived so apparently adequate.

I fell into a small brook, long story, the lens autofocus no longer worked properly! I really enjoy this kit lens on my rebel t7, this was excellently priced! Fit my budget and need perfectly! I’m happy!
