I'd bought a lot of products for making candles while on my candlemaking journey and the vast majority of things that I bought because "cheap" ended up being garbage. These dye chips however were/are fantastic, a large range of colors, use a little or use a lot to dial in the color shade and there you have it. And the colors were vibrant and lovely too in Soy wax.
Did not perform as well as other resigns I've used

The directions explain the product well. I use paraffin for making candles. The dye says three or four chips but play with the color to your liking. Paraffin it says dyes easier because it’s clear. The problem is there is more crushed powder chips than actual chips. It took quite a bit of the powder so I’m not sure how many chips I would need to achieve the color I wanted. I’m not sure if it’s worth the value because it took so much to make ten votives

I really liked this product. The smaller chips make it easy to measure out, compared to color blocks that you have to cut pieces off of. The colors are bright and vibrant. I haven't used them all yet, but the ones I did use looked great. I used them in both soy candles and white beeswax with great results. I found the user guide to be a wonderful tool, because it is written in proper English and not run thru a computer translator that usually creates more garble than useful information. The guide doesn't just tell how to use their product, it gives helpful but general advice on candle making. I appreciate that the manufacturer has that much respect for the craft and helps the user understand how to get the best overall result while using their product.

Thee Color Wax Dye Flakes for making candles come in 18 colors. These dye flakes can be mixed to create your own colors. They are really nice. You can use as much or as little as you want. You don't have to worry about the consistency of your candle wax changing, these wax flakes melt easily, I really like the results of these in my finished products.

As I've been experimenting with making my own scented candles and wax melts I have been trying different types of candle dye to make them more colorful and interesting. This pack of 18 colors came with a nice selection of shades including the two I really wanted – green and purple. The dye chips come in flakes of varying sizes and the larger shards can be broken easily if you need a smaller piece. Each color comes in a labeled baggy that is transparent so you can see what is inside. The melt relatively quickly in all of the waxes I've tried – including soy. They mix in easily and you can build the color up by varying the size of the dye chips you add. This time around I did try mixing some colors together together to attain different shades and it worked out very well. The dye does seem to be pigmented but if you want darker candles you will need to add more than you might anticipate at first. Overall I'm pleased with how these dye chips have worked out so far and they will definitely be used a lot with my new hobby...
