Works exactly as advertised. When they arrived, I thought they were supposed to be multi-colored, but the lights are only white. This is fine. The string is really long (just under 33 feet) and will work great around our picnic table when we go camping. The different modes are really cool (I think this is what made me think that there would be multiple colors - the listing states "6 lighting modes", but really it is different brightness of the lights). I like that I can turn just the string lights on without the lantern, this is how I will probably use them the most. I also really like that the lights are rechargeable and do not require an outlet to work. Portability is awesome!The storage of the lights is straightforward and simple. The lantern holds the string and includes a handle for cranking the string into the lantern. Very easy.If you are looking for white lights for camping, and don't want to deal with an outlet or difficult storage, then I would definitely recommend these lights.

I have provided photos so that hopefully I can communicate the neatest part of this light and that, to me, is the way it reels in like a fishing reel. There is a little protruding knob when you lift up the handle which is countersunk into its own little well when the handle is down so that the profile is like that of a fat hockey puck -really cool and easy to carry around in a pack.There is an on/off button to press, a mode button to switch between flashing (sos and it gets bright on the high bright setting) fade, and solid light on the string. The string of lights is a considerable length and could easily go completely around a tent. You can turn the light on with the string lights completely reeled in or completely reeled out, I was unclear on that when I selected this product but know that you can have the light off and string lights on, both the light and string lights on, or just the light itself. With the capability to adjust brightness as well this makes for a very versatile camping light set and I'm excited to use it on our upcoming trip.There are plus and minus signs to adjust brightness. This is very intuitive and easy to figure out but if you get stumped there are concise, clear directions in english included as well as a charge cord.I am happy to have this, I was stumped on what light to bring to hang inside our tent and now? Problem solved in a compact and easy to transport light set.

Simple and fun camping lantern and accent lighting. We bought these to string across the awning of our RV, and I was eager to test them here at home.The lights are a pleasant warm white, 2700kelvin which is easy on the eye at night in a dark environment. The lantern has 3 modes for the 30ft long led string, including a flashing mode, a fading (glows up and down in intensity) and a constant on mode.Usefully, when the string is rolled into the body (with the flip out winding handle) the lantern turns into a nice cool white table lamp or tent top light for more serious lighting tasks. If you prefer less intense area lighting, turning the led string on while it is stowed in the body yields a low intensity, warm light which will help preserve night vision!The unit has a rubber control panel, but the USB-C port on top (used for charging the 2200mah battery!) is not weather sealed. There is not a weather cover for the port, so you will need to be careful to keep the base out of the rain!We love it, it’s novel, and it includes a long set of string lights that are flexible and light enough to attach to just about anything. Looking forward to lighting up our campsite this summer!
