This is a device each and any prepper should have in her collection of tools. There is the obvious axe, but in the handle you also find a knife/saw blade, a fire rod to make fire, a whistle and the very end of the handle is a glass breaker. All this in one long handle which allows a bit blow with the axe if all assempled.

This axe isn't half bad. It's really a multitool at heart, and I really like both the axe and knife attachments so far. They're both very useful for camping. Especially if you often camp in an area with lots of downed wood that you can cut for fires. All the attachments arrive separate inside a small box, so there is some assembly required. Both the axe and knife arrive unsheathed in the same box as the other attachments, and the set does not include a sheath for either blade, so caution during unboxing and assembly is essential. Once the axe is fully assembled, the knife blade gets covered by and screwed into the hollow shaft of the axe, so it's safely stored away that way at least. However, the axe blade itself is just left out unsheathed. I recommend buying an axe sheath for this or be ready to make your own if you don't already have one. The fire striker works like most others, and I have a ton already so this one is just a handy extra for me, but the whistle is a nice addition. Especially if you're camping in the wilderness rather than at a campground because getting lost gathering wood is a real possibility, and a whistle is an easy way to make noise that travels without exhausting yourself. The real treasures here are the axe and knife, they're both functional and sharp. The whole thing is pretty light too, which is great for travel. I only wish they'd included at least a cheap plastic sheath for the axe, even if the sheath didn't last forever it would have been good enough for general safety when packing for a camping trip, and had provided some safety to the customer until they can get a more durable one in the future. Overall I think it's worth the price, but would have been better if some blade safety had been considered by the manufacturer.

This is a decent camping ax and fire making kit. The ax head is pretty sturdy and reasonably sharp, though you might want to sharpen it a bit. I made some shavings for a fire and it could do it, but was I was using more of the weight behind the blade than sharpness, and there is a reasonable amount of weight. The hammer end feels good and strong, and like it can take being used to split wood with a wedge. The handle is made of three pieces that screw together. One has the ax head, one includes a knife blade w/bottle opener that can be screw into place and is sheathed inside the ax handle and the third includes a ferrous rod and a window breaker. The knife is middling sharp, kinda small and a bit flimsy, but useable. The ferrous rod sends plenty of sparks, and I have no glass for testing the glass, but it's got a dull point and seems hard enough to work. Overall, for lightweight, camping use, I'd say this is a handy little tool for fire building and simple tasks around camp.

This is a neat utility tool/weapon. Disassembled, it takes up very little space. You can screw the two shaft ends together to make a long axe handle or use one shaft for the knife and one for the axe, for two tools. The threads are well-matched, with no sticking or binding. The axe could stand to be a little sharper, but nothing a stone can't fix. I have not tried to make a fire with the little whistle/flint thingy, but all the other features make this worth every penny.
