You can't say too much about an adapter. I couldn't find any flaws in the casting or machining. It fit cleanly in both sized fittings (as always, you'll need something like a mallet to secure this style fittings). The only thing I miss is that there's no place to put a securing pin to keep the locks in place. But I've found this to be the case with a lot of cheaper fittings. It's certainly possible to drill the hole yourself to accomplish this.

We use large quantities of water on various projects. Enough that it justifies utilizing an 8,000 gallon tanker. We've used this reduction cam lock to go from 3" to 2" water line and use pumps from there. In three months of use, we haven't had a single issue.
