Any of the bags/cases that are made "for" my camcorder don't fit with the lens hood so I bought a Condor MA8 utility pouch. It accommodates the camera with the lens hood attached, along with some lens filters and other accessories, but it doesn't offer a lot of protection. That's where this wrap cloth comes in.It wraps around the camcorder and its lens hood with plenty of room to spare. The exterior sticks to itself almost like velcro. Also like velcro, it seems to attract random lint (likely from the soft interior microfiber) and pet hair like a magnet. I'm not bothered, though, because it provides sufficient protection from random bumps and short drops. Now I'm perfectly comfortable tossing the utility pouch into my backpack or whatever I happen to be using as a camera bag. Highly recommended. Thanks, Amazon!

This is a handy and flexible tool to have in your arsenal to help protect a variety of small electronics. My original intent for this was to use with my camera, and it works very well as a wrap for it. I can have the neck strap poling out of the top and wear it on my shoulder or around my neck and it's protected from minor bumps and scrapes but is also easily accessible upon removing the wrap. It's able to support the weight of my camera (Sony A6700) and feels secure. I could also see using this to wrap items for packing in luggage. It's the kind of thing I think maybe everyone should consider having and using to guard your small tech gear.

This cloth feels well made. It's not going to prevent serious damage from drops or anything, but it will keep your camera and/or lens protected in a bag with other items. It's not padded, but it's soft and just adds an extra little layer of security. With this, I'll be able to carry my Sony a6600 in my travel bag with other things, as long as I'm careful not to sling the bag around, and not worry about it getting scratched or dinged by other things I've tossed in the bag.

SpeedyLite Camera Wrap is a good, convenient way to secure your camera and/or lens for travel or storage. In short, the interior of the fabric engages with the exterior side it will stay attached. I will place the item in a corner and roll diagonally, folding the sides was I go to cover my camera or lens. It stays wrapped and keeps out dirt and dust providing a decent amount of protection from bumps and bangs. The claims are that there is a "waterproof mid-layer". I took a corner and placed it under running water and some moisture did penetrate to the other side so the waterproof claim did not pass that test. In practical use for transport and storage waterproof really isn't a concern because the item will be in another case (suitcase or camera case) anyway. I find the adhesion between the interior and exterior quite light so in some cases it might release with rough handling. All considered, I like the concept the size (18" square) and padding. I'm not thrilled with water resistance and interior/exterior adhesion. I am confident that this wrap will perform very well when I carry my camera and lenses in my carryon and for storage where moisture is really not a problem.

I love to travel and hike as lightly as possible but still want protection for my gear. I have a couple of other travel wraps that have worked well and thought I'd give this one a try when I saw it on Amazon. For those wondering, these are not thick, heavily padded wraps. They will do little to protect your gear from heavy impacts. However, they are great for adding a touch of padding as well as coverage to keep out dust & moisture. I just returned from a 10-day trip to India and had to bring everything I needed in a carry-on suitcase + small backpack. I needed to bring other things in my backpack but didn't want to leave my camera behind. I used two wraps - one for my camera+lens and another for a second lens. Yes, I had to be a little careful, but this allowed me to bring a body and two lenses even though I had no space for even a tiny camera bag. I also use these to bring camera gear with me in a super light backpack I use for hiking. These are also useful at home if you don't have a safe place to keep all your gear free from dust & scratches. They can also be used for loose items that you want to keep together - cables, batteries, whatever. In terms of how they work, the are not made from the softest material, but they won't scratch your gear. They have a finish that is kind of like super light velcro. It sticks just enough to keep the wrap in place. Once you have one, you start finding more creative ways to use it.

I got this for two different uses and so far, it works perfect for both uses. The first is to wrap my camera when it is not in the padded camera backpack. I keep it out of the bag a lot - often just beside me on my side table beside my easy chair. I like to play with the dials and try different settings and instead of setting it down on a table where it can get dirty or spilled on, I can now wrap it up in this cloth for protection. The second reason is for wrapping and protecting a smaller camera in my camera bag. It has a place to go in my bag, but it is next to a lens that is open and not wrapped. This keeps the two items apart, so they won't rub together and get scratched or worn. For both of these purposes, it works perfectly. The cloth itself came in perfect condition and is well made. The cloth is a nice weight, thick enough to give some cushion but thin enough to wrap my equipment easily and not take up too much space. The seams are nice and the 'stickiness' of the cloth fells to be at a perfect point for my use. The 18" by 18" size works for my Nikon DSLR with a shorter Lense. With a long Lense it gets a bit tight to wrap completely.I love this cloth, and I recommend. Cheap insurance for an expensive camera.
