The cold shoe is quite hard to fit so that it is straight and secure. it is achievable but it took me a good 15 minutes of fiddling before I felt it was secure enough to mount a flash gun on it.This said it is dirt cheap so you cannot really complain and now it it setup its fine and works well.

OK enough, but lots of misfitting and such. The flash shoe screws on but overshoots the direction of the gimbal slot. So, on a shoot I had a flash flopping about, changing positions, driving me nuts.I think a couple 1.8" or maybe 3.16" rubber washers would resolve these problems. BUT, they were not included. I'll get a couple of those and see. Otherwise they will be replaced by better equivalents and these particular ones will go into the junk drawer.

NOT for hard use. If you are looking for semi-professional use, this is not for you. One of the pieces broke due to plastic material in my 3rd time I use it, even dough if you handle with care could work. If you are thinking to set it for a studio and not move them to much, they could work.

A bit plasticky but works as advertised. I'm afraid that if my stand falls down accidentally, it will definitely break the foot of my flash. If you have the budget, buy the goose neck version that straps the flash by the housing area. I think that version is more secure, but more expensive.

It feels well constructed and good value. I used this to attach the Godox AD200/Flashpoint Evolv200 to Westcott Rapid Box 26" softbox and it is long enough to clear the L bracket. The fix I found on youtube using the Tripod Mini Ball Head Hot Shoe Adapter (Newer) does not clear the L-bracket since it seems longer now that what the youtuber had before. Maybe they changed the length later. This mounts the AD200 on the Rapidbox just nice and feels sturdy and safe.

Solid and reliable. I don't use the shoemount top, as I find those unreliable in general. I remove it and mount my slave to the 1/4" tripod-style screw on top, which has a shoemount for the flash. Works very well.
