without going into too many details, I was having some shin problems from going out for too many walks (just over-use) and that reminded me while i have a knee brace or two for just such an occasion, I have been considering picking up a good calf/shin brace for when i may need it.this is hard to judge because the issues I was having really got better by the time this arrived, to be fair but I have gone out for a few walks with this. I have to say that I was confused at to what size to get being a 6ft 2 or 3inch guy that i would say has avg shins but thicker calves ... looking at the measurement chart i felt i was between a "medium" and a "large" ... not only for the $3 cheaper in price but considering I have had stuff like this before and the material can stretch with alot of use ... I opted for Medium (smallest size they have) and I am happy I did it. When i really pull the straps as tight as I can ... I am HONESTLY not sure sure how much stability this adds.I can say I have not had any issues with the pain i had while wearing these, and also i was using a "wrap bandage" around the shin and when i made it to tight i realized that was an issue too... eh ... I would say these are comfortable. It is not that humid here in the southern US now but even now after keeping this on for long after I came back from the walks I was on, I would agree with some others that it can make the areas it covers (if not over pants or something) sweaty .. .but that is not a big deal to me ... if i can figure out how to wash the Velcro without effecting it in a bad way, washing this sort of thing every so often would be something I'd do anyway. If you need strong support (and that is where the size you need and what size you get may matter to this ... these may NOT be for you BUT ... unless I tried a number of the other options, I cant say these are worse than some similar products for a bit more money. One thing I do like are the straps. Not a huge issue but some times with my knee brace my other knee starts hurting mid walk but i cant really switch if that happens. HYPOTHETICALLY if that happened with this with my shin or calve .. .I could EASILY switch it from one leg to the other with no effort in say 20 seconds or something. The only other odd thing i can think of is the packaging. This comes packed side by side in a long thin box. The Amazon box that had to be used to fit this box in it, was the type i have gotten when I have ordered sneakers (sized 13 so bigger boxes too) ... not a big deal but even for say returning if need-be ... I'd have to get a bigger box....they could have packed it like say knee braces I have gotten with it being a 2pk but the product box could be say 1/3 or less of the size and could fit in a much smaller box. When this came i was "... I ordered a shin brace, not sneakers ... did they send something wrong?"I do admit i am not really organized in this review but the last thing I will say is trying the medium size on my calf ... it provides better support then my thinner shins ... BUT I was hoping to get a product that could be used for either area so ... I am happy with my purchase

Provides the support I need, not constricting, light weight and comfortable. I needed extra support for my rt. calf as it heals from the trauma of having a 3rd TKR on that leg. They doctor needed to go further down the tibia/fibula to secure the prosthetic and my calf has been struggling to heal from it. After 1 wk, I am not feel the pain in my calf with each step. So far so good

I am 5 ‘ nothing & after 22 heart surgeries , the last making my legs to toes swell & being paralyzed - I needed something to wrap the constant changing swelling . Of my legs . Being a quad I was able to put it on 1 handed . I am hopeful my legs won’t freak people out now & protect my skin not liking the fluid . My neurons did not freak out like binding other options . My legs feel less cold .. I can not regulate temp so this is nice. If these had aD ring at the end of the 3 Velcro straps .. that would be easier to grasp . The Velcro is strong .These can go just above your heel/ ankle & that took mine a inch before the knee . .. position these to hide the straps if a concern .Looks like i should be able to try the new wide socks I bought as well .The Velcro is a great length & width at the end of the straps .Size is XL .. overlapping is no issue for me .Shipped with other items the next day - no issues .

My husband was looking for a calf wrap that is supportive enough but also securely adjustable. This fits the bill and at a great price too.

Mountain bikers like to ride some tricky terrain, and many of us use soft-soled shoes with flat pedals that feature metal traction pins (really, grub screws or a glorified equivalent). The problem is, if you have a bad technique moment hiking with the bike or letting your foot slip off the pedals, those pins will be happy to poke and cut your calves and shins. MTB knee/shin guards aren't always the answer, as not all of them fully cover the vulnerable parts of your leg. This is a cheap and effective solution to that problem, though it could be better. The fit is adjustable enough that it's comfortable, but it could be shaped a little better for cyclists with big calves so that you don't have to angle the straps as much or have little wrinkles at the strap join. Also, the straps both go the same way around, there isn't a proper left/right side setup.

They doing what I expected them to do, and maybe a little more. My first run after sustaining a calf injury that eventually affected both legs went well with the wraps. I’m surprised by the comfort and security they provide. As soon as I put them on the first time, I felt the support and reduced pain. Since subsequent runs, they’re still supporting but I still feel some pain (that’s a separate issue). As far as the wraps, I highly recommend.
