I was looking for a simple test fixture to test quadrature encoders on a production line. All I had to do was to add an AC cord for power and wire up a cable just as shown in the diagrams, utilizing the 5V that is generated on the device to power my encoder. On power-up, it was already set to display incrementing as well as decrementing counts depending upon the rotational direction of the encoder I tested. It was exactly what I was looking for and worked perfectly with no setup required other than connecting my wires!

If you don't already know how to program and use HB961 then DON'T BUY it unless you're fluent in Vietnamese because that's the only instruction found on YouTube! Unbelievable but True, the only instruction supplied by the vendor is a very badly translated one that is super difficult to understand anything off of it and even then they have printed 2 pages on 1 by reducing the print size hence very small font and must use a magnifier to read it. DON'T BUY IT if you are not fully familiar with programming it already. How difficult is it to supply a wiring diagram?! It goes a long way to show the vendors customer's support.
