I recently received the CALT GHW38 300mm Roller Rubber Wheel and I have to say, it's pretty great. It's made of a non-slip polyurethane material that doesn't leave residue behind, which is a major plus. And the pulse signals it provides are nice and sharp, just like a freshly shaved hedgehog. The steel mounting spring bracket is also a nice touch, making it easy to attach to a lift rail.Overall, not a single reason to withhold a perfect five stars! It's a solid choice for anyone in need of a reliable encoder wheel, and at a significantly better price than other options.

I grabbed this incremental encoder mechanism because I have an application where I use a whole bunch of gummed Kraft paper to wrap objects, and keeping track of how much tape I am using is important. It’s super cool that the mounting of the encoder is already figured out, along with the pickup wheel, and all I had to do is screw it down between my tape dispenser and the wrapping machine. As far as reading it, I used an Arduino dev board, a 20 x 4 LCD and the Arduino Encoder Library, created by Paul Stoffregen. Using a library made it dead simple throw together the required code to output the amount of tape used and the rate of usage. It’s then super simple to add in an alarm if the tape runs out, etc.So far this has been a great addition to my project and I am really happy with it. I give it 5-stars.

This incremental rotary encoder is very good. I got this for a project with an Arduino to measure distance traveled. This industrial unit has a very smooth action and seems to have good-quality bearings. I like this over just getting the rotary encoder as the mounting bracket and rubber wheel are well engineered and this saves me a lot of time from trying to fabricate my own mounting solution. The documentation is not fully complete, so I hooked it on my bench first to test it out. there are 3 outputs A, B, and Z, which follow the industry standard for a rotary encoder. A leads B in a clockwise rotation, and B leads A in a counter-clockwise rotation. Z records a pulse once per revolution. A, B, and Z are normally low, Active high pluses. The pulse width is proportional to the RPM.I would definitely recommend this for industrial applications
