Excellent cookware set! I have a gas stove, so there are some marks from the flame along the bottom, but that’s just cosmetic. The non-stick coating works great! The lids for the saucepans have strainers in them, which is very convenient!

After two months of daily use, this set is holding up well. I use wood and silicone utensils, no scratches on the cooking surface.

Wow! While this set looks great, the way it looks is what I care about. Everything cooks so much better and nothing sticks at all. Clean up is a breeze! This is made so well, has nice weight to it, including the lids and is of top quality. I would expect nothing less from this brand. It was a splurge, but worth it!

I have brought several different pots ajd pans over the years and was tired of doing that. Last time I swore I was going to research and evennifnit eas expensive, buy something that would last. I ended up with t-fal which totally failed me. Handles came loose within 6 months and bottoms, despite only using silicon or wood, we're scratched and the flames from my stove burned the bottoms of some of the pans. Then I remembered my mother has had her calphalon pots and pans as long as I can remember, well over 25 years, so i sucked up the hefty price tag, and bought some by thanksgiving. So far exceeded all expectations. I cook often and these pots and pans have just been amazing. I am so happy with them and can't talk about them enough. Buy them, you won't regret it.

I had a set for decades and it’s still performing elsewhere. I got this to replace it and like the older set it’s attractive, solid, unscratchable, very easy to clean and built to last forever.

I had an old set of Millenium Farberware, which was so rugged and awesome until after 20 years I realized that I had dinged the teflon here and there in the pieces I used most often. I could not find another heavy-duty Farberware set - seems that they have diminished in quality - so I moved on to Calphalon. I loved them from the first use. The soup pot was very forgiving when I accidentally left the apple sauce on for too long. Easy clean-up, and the apple sauce was actually edible and the carmelized bits did not stick to the pot. Highly recommended. Great seller. I give this set an enthusiastic five stars.

We were really excited to upgrade our 10 year old Cooking with Calphalon pots and pans. We decided on these pots and pans, instead of the Prime Day Calphalon set because of the hand protection on the lids and handles, based on our previous set of pots and pans.We noticed the box opening had been opened and closed upon arrive. (photographed) Then we opened the box to find the completely wrong set of pots and pans. (Green Life, pictured) Sadly we had to return this item for a refund and hope to reorder, but new order is coming from Amazon US.

This reasonably-priced set from Calphalon has enough quality and features for the average home chef. The aluminum construction is thick, the handles are riveted, and the lid handles are securely fastened. Time will tell whether the non-stick coating will be durable. The manufacturer's claim that food will release quickly from the non-stick surface has proven to be honest. Eggs release just fine, without the need for spray oils. The interior cleans up just fine with a soft sponge and mild dish detergent. I have not had to resort to a scouring pad. Having said all of that, let me admit to you that I am not a chef, nor do I have aspirations to be. Meaning, the foods that I cook are not the types that put a lot of requirement in cookware. Reasonably even heating, ease of cleaning, and long-term durability are basically all of the qualities that I look for in cookware. I also do not have a fancy kitchen to show off my cookware! Meaning, aesthetics is not all that important since home visitors do not get to see my cookware anyway. This reasonably-priced, 10-piece set more than meets my humble needs. Why the four stars rather than five? I would have given the product five stars were it not for the silicone used in the handles. Yes, silicone is practical. It is soft to the touch, keeps the handle cool, and provides the user a non-slippery grip even when the handles are wet with soapy water. Silicone adds to practicality and ease of use. However, other products accomplish the same with all-metal handles. Silicone, unlike rubber, will last a very long time. I suspect most cooks update their cookware set every couple of decades or so, and silicone should last at least that long. Am I looking for a handle that will last a couple of human lifetimes? No, not really. If I wanted something that I could pass on to the next generation, I would have bought a stainless steel cookware set. Hard anodized aluminum can last a very long time, but eventually, even the best non-stick coating will wear out. Where stainless steel sets can last a lifetime or two. What does this mean? It means the silicone in the handles should last as long as the usefulness of the hard interior coating. If you want "forever", get a stainless steel set with all-metal handles! Even so, I am traditional and believe in avoiding the use of non-metal handle material if at all possible. And it is possible. It is simply a personal preference and not meant to detract from the product, however, to get five stars from me, the product not only has to perform well according to function but to also meet my subjective preference. So there, I have expressed my opinion, make of it what you will dear reader. As far as aesthetics, please know that if you want "show-off" quality, you will need to move up the Calphalon price range. This is a no nonsense, no frills product line. If you want "pretty", spend a lot more money and get the Unison line. The lid handles are simple bent metal with silicone. The handles are riveted, composed of metal and silicone. The "pots" themselves are straight-sided, rounded towards the bottom. If you want something with more charm, more style, look elsewhere. How durable are the lids? I have not dropped any of the lids. At this point, I do not know how well they can handle impact. I suspect if you drop them on stone tiles from counter height, that they will break. I am sure you can probably purchase replacement lids as surely there are some kitchen cooks who are accident prone. From the standpoint of reasonable use from a careful adult, I do not think you have anything to worry about.Do you need plastic spatulas and non-metal utensils to avoid damaging the non-stick interior surface? For the spatula, I would say so. With other utensils like a pasta fork, you can probably get by with metal if you are of the careful type. Seriously, however, I have not ever seen a metal pasta fork anyway. If you can, yes, get utensils made out of soft materials to prolong the life of the interior coating.Highly recommended.
