Exactly what I needed to calibrate my digital scales in my small, professional kitchen. I only wish it came in a storage box. It is small, so might be easily misplaced. But at this price, I really can't complain.

Bought this after discovering my kitchen scale was off while meal prepping. I now use this each time to ensure my calorie counts are accurate.

Have a rather expensive pair of digital scales and needed to be calibrated so I bought this and one other. Now I know my scales are on the money and my guys read heavy than actual weight. No more shorties for me two thumbs way up. ππ½ππ½

I needed a 100 gram calibrated weight for a new digital scale. This item has an "M" rated accuracy. When weight on other digital scales that needed a 200 gram calibrated weight, it read exactly 100.000 grams. My confidence is high that when I use this weight to calibrate my latest digital scale (requiring 100 gram), that my results can be trusted.

When I purchased the AMIR Kitchen Scale (500.00g maximum, requires a 100g calibration weight), I attempted to create a calibration weight using pre-1965 nickels from my coin collection. US nickels are supposed to be 5.00g, but I found them to have a range of 4.90g to 5.10g with a few outliers +/- 0.20g. Using individual weight readings compared to total readings and recalibrating, I was close, but when this weight arrived, I had a reading of 100.47. Once I had it properly set, I created a second calibration weight using a plastic Coinsafe tube and 17 carefully chosen nickels for fun. It turns out the 100g weight is perfectly sized to fit in the tube on top of the nickels, and once the cap is on, it reads as 200.00g. This is how I'm storing the weight. I now have high confidence that my scale is accurate at least to the 200.00g mark.
