I put mine on my enclosed snowmobile trailer and I put hinges on mine so the top would close completely.

Product arrived on time and reasonably priced. Very easy to install in my trailer and definitely makes getting my sleds on much easier as I had a 3 1/2” edge to get over each time. Definitely will save my trailer deck and my sled carbides.

Vite installé sur des rampes en aluminium pour motoneiges. J'ai posé des barres en aluminium pour permettre le vissage des 'glides'.

I put these on a mid 90's tilt two place snowmobile trailer. I already had ski guides and these lined up nice. No more hitting my skis on the trailer!

I have a new Snopro tilt trailer. The aluminum edge is rounded on the end with 2 1/2" gap to the ground. Mounting the transition on the flat trailer edge would leave it too high off the ground and could get ripped off by the carbide. I had to mount the edge guards on the rounded trailer edge so that it could reach the ground. (shame on Snopro for this design). I then moved the ski glides down to provide a continuous even surface so that the carbides don't get caught loading and unloading the sled. As others mentioned, the screws are not ideal for mounting in aluminum. They easily snap off prolonging the installation process. Caliber should not only provide the appropriate screws, they should also provide more design options to account for different trailer edges.Update: I repositioned the ski glides up a bit to allow for expansion and trimmed the edge guards a bit because they partially blocked the tail lights. Its all good now. I ran my snowmobile up and down the trailer a few times and it worked perfectly without have to take a running start. The bottom line is that you may have to customize these to work for you.

After talking to a friend about how hard the tilt-bed trailer edging is on the ski carbides and also posing the risk of having the sled come to an abrupt halt if the carbides got caught on that edging, I ended up purchasing these Caliber edge transitions. They're easy to install and definitely do the trick. They look a bit funny hanging off the trailer, but it sure beats keeping a 2x4 on-hand to help the ski's to get over the thick transition on the end of the trailer. Highly recommended!

Everytime I loaded the sled on the trailer, the skis would hang up on the edge of the trailer. Installed these on the trailer and haven't had one hangup yet. They were easy to install on my aluminum trailer and for the price of these, it was well worth it. The clam shell is a little harder to close and put your locking pin back in, but for the ease in loading and unloading is well worth it. Thank you Caliber.

I have a clam shell tilt trailer. When in the load/unload position I had a 2 inch high aluminum lip the skis/carbides had to negotiate. If the sled track didn't have a good bite on the ground (i.e. icy parking area) the carbides hung up on the trailer lip. The way around this was to get a running start and muscle the carbides over the aluminum (I was really chewing up the aluminum lip). This was dangerous as one time the carbides got a good bite and the aluminum didn't give and I was nearly launched off the sled. These edge glides did the trick and create a slick smooth transition surface from the parking lot to the ski guides on the trailer. We recently had sub zero weather and there was no indication of them wanting to crack when flexed. Can load sled safely now. Very happy with this product.

The installation was not as easy as it seems... They tell you to drill a hole and then screw in the screw.. Well they provide you with cheap screws that strip out. I even tried drilling the hole bigger but couldn't get the screws to sock down good.I tossed the screws in the trash (I wouldn't even use them for wood!) and used #10 screws with washers and a nyloc nut on the underside. Thankfully I was able to pull out my tail-light and get to the underside. My trailer is galvanized and looks quite sturdy - I believe they used 1/8" wall square stock. These screws will probably work fine for an aluminum trailer but for a steel trailer forget it!I would have given it a 5 star if it wasn't for the screws and the fact that I had to go spend more money to attach the part.
